Stardew Valley, the unlikely indie hit sensation that sees players take charge of a farm in a sleepy town, and make their way through daily life there, in the tradition of old Harvest Moon games, received its multiplayer update for the PC versions earlier this year. And now, the multiplayer update for the Nintendo Switch version — to which it will be timed exclusive, as far as consoles go — is almost here, too.
Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, creator of Stardew Valley, announced today on Twitter that the Switch version of the multiplayer update for the game is now in Quality Assurance, meaning that it is very near to its release. Barone promised more information, including, I presume, an exact date of release, will be forthcoming as well.
Interestingly enough, just two weeks ago, Barone had spoken about a potential release for the console version of the multiplayer update, and refused to commit to any time frame. It seems like he may have been playing his cards close to his chest on that one.
Stardew Valley is out now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, and PC.
