Stardew Valley’s Public Multiplayer Beta is Now Live

Dive into a farm with up to four players and explore Stardew Valley together.

Eric Barone’s Stardew Valley has teased multiplayer for quite some time and after frequent updates about its progress, the farming game’s multiplayer component is finally available in public beta form on Steam.

In order to access the public beta, players have to head to Stardew Valley in their Steam library, select Properties and head into the Betas tab. Use the beta access code “jumpingjunimos”, check the code and choose the beta option in the drop-down selection menu. Make sure to back up your files in advance – Chucklefish advises players to remove any installed mods since full compatibility with the same is still in development.

With the multiplayer beta, up to four players can team up on either Steam, LAN or a combination of the two. You can host co-op play in an existing save file or create a new game for everyone. The objective is to cooperate and work together towards farming. Each player has their own house to store materials and the like.

There are quite a few things you can do like crafting wedding rings to propose to players, divorce said player , partake in higher profits with a scalable difficulty and even use 200 custom emojis to communicate. Keep in mind that this is still a beta so there will be glitches and other issues to deal with.
