Starfield Announced, A New Single Player RPG Due Out For Next-Gen Consoles

It's real!

Todd Howard spent a lot of time on Fallout 76 and two mobile games, but he did close the show with two bangers. The first of those was… yes, it has finally been confirmed as real… Starfield. Yup, it’s a brand new IP from Bethesda- their first original in house new IP since The Elder Scrolls itself, actually. The game is a space setting game, as has often been speculated.

Howard confirmed multiple things about this one- it’s a new single player IP (so those worried after Fallout 76 can now rest easy), and it will be a next generation game- which means we’re actually not seeing it for a while.

We actually didn’t get to see much of the game at all- just some concept trailer footage stuff. Which is a bummer, given how long this game has been coming, but now we know it’s real, and we can’t wait. We’ve got Fallout 76 to play in the meanwhile.
