Starhawk’s Online Functionality Has Been Terminated

Of course, the game's single-player campaign will still be playabale.

Starhawk is a third-person online shooter that has ben quite popular among PS3’s audiences for some time. While the game has a single-player mode, the multiplayer aspect also played a major role in the game’s design. Now, it has been revealed that online functionality for the game has ended, starting June 30.

Starhawk was developed as a spiritual successor to the multiplayer shooter game called Warhawk. This explains why there was such a strong focus on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Recently, we’ve been seeing more and more games from the last generation ending online functionality, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Of course, the game’s single-player campaign will still be playable for any who are interested.

On the game’s PlayStation Store page, it was revealed that online functionality has been terminated. It is quite unusual that this information wasn’t announced via PlayStation’s decommissioned servers page. Starhawk was released back in 2012 and it looks like the game has come to the end of its run after six years.
