Valve has announced that the revamped UI for Steam’s Big Picture Mode, which has been available on the Steam Deck, is now available on the PC version of Steam through the latest beta for the Steam client.
The new Big Picture UI features a new home screen that showcases your recent games, as well as whatever might be new with other games in your Steam library. There is also a new universal search that can search for games across the library, store, and your friends list.
As part of the new UI, the configuration tool for controllers has also gotten an update, allowing for easier and more streamlined options for picking, adjusting, and creating custom controller configurations.
The in-game overlay now displays achievements and guides for the currently-played game, and is accessed by hitting the Steam/Guide/PS button, depending on your controller of choice. Coupling the Steam/Guide/PS button with A/X now opens up a quick access menu that houses the friends list, notifications, quick settings, and other options.
The new updated Big Picture Mode UI can be accessed by opting into the Steam Client beta.
