The world is still very much in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus has been the cause of many closings of businesses and conferences, and caused many people to be stuck at home as governments around the globe are recommending isolation. It’s been a tough few months for a lot of people, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there’s a clear end in sight. As many have been stuck at home, turning to entertainment is natural and expected. If you have any doubts about that, Steam’s recent numbers have been pretty staggering.
As documented via SteamDB, the platform actually broke a major record this Sunday when it was recorded to have just over 23 million active users. While not all of those were necessarily in-game, since the number simply tracks all those using the service, it goes to show how many people are looking for something to do in this taxing time.
Fingers crossed that this outbreak will be under control sooner rather than later, but at the very least, there’s a lot to play out there for those who are stuck at home.
