Steam Deck Has Sold “Multiple Millions” of Units

Valve previously confirmed in October of last year that it had shipped over a million units of the handheld device.

Prior to the Steam Deck’s launch, Valve said that it intended to sell “millions” of units of the handheld device, and it certainly looks like the company is hitting those targets.

Speaking to The Verge, Valve designers Lawrence Yang and Pierre-Loup Griffais have confirmed that the company has sold “multiple millions” of Steam Deck units. How many millions is multiple millions specifically? That remains unclear, but we can assume it’s at least two.

Back in October of last year, Valve announced that it had shipped over million units of the device, so it looks like it has continued to sell at a consistent pace. Recently, the company also unveiled the Steam Deck OLED, which is set to launch November 16. Presumably, that will result in another healthy sales boost.

Meanwhile, Valve has also confirmed that it’s working on Steam Deck 2, though it says it could be “a while” before it launches.
