Steam Monthly Active Users Hits 67 Million, 33 Million Active Daily

Steam hits 14 million concurrent users with 125 million registered users overall.

Valve Corporation’s Steam continues to assert in its dominance in the PC market. The company revealed a presentation at Casual Connect (via GeekWire) that Steam had 67 million monthly active players with 33 million of those playing daily.

Not only that but Steam saw 27 million new paying members since January 2016, which averages to roughly 1.5 million paying users per month in the past 18 months. Furthermore, Steam managed to hit 14 million concurrent users, with its last major peak being in 2015 with 8.4 million. Valve noted that the total number of registered players was 125 million.

When it comes to Steam sales by region, 34 percent sales came from North America while Western Europe accounted for 29 percent. Asia accounts for 17 percent of sales thanks to greater sales from China, Korea and Japan. Though ventures like Steam VR and Steam Machines haven’t exactly led to great success for Valve, the company’s platform is still arguably the de facto choice for PC gamers everywhere.
