To no one’s surprise, Street Fighter 6 features a premium currency, Fighter Coins, used to purchase cosmetics. There’s no way to earn Fighter Coins in-game at present. Thankfully, the only cosmetics that exclusively cost Fighter Coins are those unlocked from playing through World Tour. You can acquire everything else in the Shop and Battle Hub Vendor by spending Drive Tickets, the free in-game currency.
How do you earn Drive Tickets? Let’s look at some of the sources.
How to Earn Drive Tickets
Long story, you need to complete Challenges. Open the Multi Menu, navigate to Rewards and tab over to the Challenges to see them.
There are Daily, Weekly and Monthly Challenges, with the Monthly Challenge currently awarding 500 Drive Tickets. They’re also not too difficult. The current Monthly Challenge requires viewing one Tutorial offline in Fighting Ground.
One of the Dailies involves fighting five Avatar Battles, which is sadly only possible through online matches in Battle Hub. Of course, you only have to fight, not win, so don’t be afraid to throw if things go south. You can start an Avatar Battle by going to the center of the hub. If you’re unable to find any opponents, change server rooms or the region when selecting Battle Hub from the main menu.
The Daily and Weekly Challenges cycle between awarding Drive Tickets and Kudos, so you’ll need to check in often to see what’s available. Unfortunately, there’s only one slot for each type of challenge, so once you complete a Daily, Weekly or Monthly, you’ll need to wait the appropriate amount of type for it to refresh.
Purchase the Year 1 Character Pass (standalone or with the Deluxe Edition) or Year 1 Ultimate Pass (also available separately or with the Ultimate Edition), and you can get some Drive Tickets. Log in after purchasing either, and they’ll be added to your account. The Year 1 Character Pass is $29.99 and awards 4,200 Drive Tickets, and also provides access to additional colors for character outfits and four DLC characters – Rashid, AKI, Akuma and Ed.
The Year 1 Ultimate Pass costs a whopping $49.99 and provides access to Year 1 DLC characters, more additional colors for character outfits and 7,700 Drive Tickets. It’s better to purchase the Year 1 Character Pass or Deluxe Edition and grind out the Drive Tickets by playing the game. If you don’t want to get either and play the game semi-regularly, you’ll have enough Drive Tickets saved up.
