Capcom has, out of nowhere, announced Street Fighter X Megaman crossover for the PC. Yes, it’s only for the PC, and the weird thing is that it’s free. It will be available for download via the Capcom Unity website.
Megaman fans have been disappointed lately with Capcom due to the publisher’s decision to not create any more games, and it had come to light that one game was actually cancelled.
“Our fans have been so supportive of the 25th Anniversary efforts on Street Fighter, that we wanted to provide one last surprise and token of our appreciation,” said Christian Svensson, SVP of Consumer Software at Capcom USA.
“This game symbolizes the passion and dedication of our fans and with the 25th Anniversary of Mega Man coming up, we felt it was our duty to bring this wonderful experience to everyone who has shared the last 25 years with us and both of these celebrated franchises.”
The game features a retro look as you can see in the trailer above and it also has a brand new soundtrack created by Luke Esquivel (aka “A_Rival”) provides a classic backdrop to the action. Amazing mash-ups of memorable Street Fighter and Mega Man themes complete the crossover of the century!
The game will be available on December 17th. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
