NOTE: There are spoilers ahead for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and potentially for as-yet-unreleased post-launch content.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s post-launch life has done little to recover what little interest and buzz it managed to generate upon release, with its first season having been widely deemed lackluster at best. But though the recent addition of The Joker as a playable character wasn’t enough to revitalize the game’s dwindling playerbase, it seems developer Rocksteady Studios is hoping to turn the tide by bringing his archnemesis back into the story.
Prominent leaker Miller Ross has claimed that Batman is going to be brought back into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with its future seasons. The superhero was brutally murdered at the hands of Harley Quinn in the base game’s campaign, but in a recent Twitter thread, Ross claimed that Season 4, set to kick off in January 2025, will see him re-entering the fray.
Apparently, in Season 4 of Suicide Squad, Batman will be rescued from a “medieval-themed Elseworld of Brainiac’s design”, joining The Flash and Green Lanter in the heroes that have been brought back to reform the Justice League. As per Ross, the same season will also add Deathstroke as a playable character, though he will apparently be “in two minds” about rescuing Batman, given the humiliation he suffered at his hands during the events of Batman: Arkham Knight.
One key detail that Ross claims is that Batman will still be voiced by Kevin Conroy. The famed actor passed away in November 2022, before the game came out, but as per the leaker, he recorded dialogue for its post-launch content prior to his passing.
This story will allegedly continue in the game’s fifth season, which Ross alleges will likely be the game’s last, owing to its commercial and critical failure. Read more on that through here.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
