Yesterday, when Origin Systems announced the sequel to their bestselling game Street Cricket Champion, they boasted that their PC exclusive title would run on ‘any configuration,‘ eschewing the top end heavy system requirements of other games in the genre. Looks like they weren’t kidding. Today’s press release from them detailed the official requirements for the upcoming title, and boy, it looks like the game will run on literally anything. Just as well for a game targeted at a country where many households are still running on obsolete rigs.
The official requirements are:
RECOMMENDED
Operating System: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7.
CPU: Pentium IV 2.4 GHz Dual core or higher.
RAM: 1GB.
Graphic Card: 256 MB video memory.
MINIMUM:
Operating System: Windows XP
CPU: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
Graphic Card: 128 MB video memory.
Yes, it says Pentium IV. As in, the Intel chip that was state of the art more than a decade ago. Holy shit.
Stay tuned for more coverage on the game, guys.
