Microsoft has unveiled its Games With Gold lineup for Xbox Live Gold subscribers in June. It includes WayForward’s Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse and Toge Productions’ Coffee Talk for Xbox One. On the Xbox 360 side is the original Destroy All Humans! and classic shoot ’em up SINE Mora. Check out the trailer below for more.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will be available from June 1st to 30th. The slight Metroidvania elements, gorgeous visuals and fun gameplay are worth checking out, especially with the latest title in the franchise, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, out tomorrow for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Coffee Talk is a nice little narrative adventure with a dash of fantasy that might be to one’s flavor. It’s available from June 16th to July 15th.

Then there’s Destroy All Humans!, which will see its remake releasing in July. The Xbox 360 title is available from June 1st to 15th. SINE MORA is an absolute must-have for shoot ’em up fans and comes from the wicked minds at Grasshopper Manufacture. Grab while it’s available from June 16th 30th.

Later this year, we will get to see the return of Crypto in the remake of Destroy All Humans! The title follows the gruff alien as he makes his way to Earth to collect DNA as well as just cause all kinds of crazy mayhem. The original game was a bit of a cult classic, and there are people who are more than ready to return, and if you happen to be on PC, you won’t need a beefy machine to jump in.

The PC requirements were revealed via the publisher, THQ Nordic. It’s mostly pretty modest by today’s standards. Minimum requirements are only AMD FX-8320 or Intel i5-4690K with 6 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. The recommended requirements only bump it up to needing Core i7-3930K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 alongside 8 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.

THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games’ remake of the whacky 2005 title Destroy All Humans! will be releasing this summer. The publisher has announced that the action adventure title will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on July 28.

The announcement was made through a new trailer, which also shows off some new gameplay footage. The trailer, over a minute long, gives glimpses of the game’s familiar slapstick humour, while also showing some interesting gameplay snippets, from being able to use a holographic human disguise and zapping humans with laser guns to using jetpacks, vaporizing targets with alien weapons, and flying a UFO while destroying buildings. THQ Nordic has been reviving several inactive franchises over the last few years. Now it’s time for a cult favorite to get a new remake in the form of Destroy All Humans! The game took place in a satirized version of the United States in the 1950s as an alien reeked havoc in an open world sandbox game. Now we got a lot of new footage that will be familiar to those who loved the original title.

At PAX 2020 this year, we got just over 14 minutes of new gameplay footage. Those who played the original as well as its sequel will find plenty to love. It mostly focuses on early parts of the game when you’re first introduced to Crypto as he goes around Earth collecting DNA of its organisms. And also launches cows with telekinesis. Destroy All Humans! is scheduled to come out sometime this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. As of now there’s no official date or time frame, so we’ll keep you updated when that is revealed.

It’s been something of a rough couple of weeks for the annual PAX East conference. Due to the international outbreak of the coronavirus, many publishers and developers have decided to either skip the conference, or reduce their presence there. But the show must go on, as they say, and there will still be more than a few companies present. One of those is THQ Nordic, and today they revealed their lineup of the playable titles they’ll be bringing.

As announced via press release, the publisher will be bringing a mixture of upcoming games, as well as some already released. On the latter side, Darksiders Genesis will be there, not long after its console launch. Upcoming releases that will be highlighted are Desperados 3, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and the remake of Destroy All Humans!

The three unreleased titles as of now do not have release dates, nor have we seen a lot of footage for any of them. We’ll keep you updated on anything that’s shown or revealed. PAX East 2020 begins tomorrow and will run until March 1st.

Google unveiled a bevy of new trailers for previously announced games coming to Stadia, its game-streaming service. Some titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs: Legion obviously stand out as new announcements. But what about games like Darksiders: Genesis, Mortal Kombat 11, Samurai Shodown and whatnot?

It’s worth noting that Robot Entertainment’s Orcs Must Die! 3, a long-requested sequel in the third person tower defense series, is also coming to Stadia. Windjammers 2, the sequel to the cult classic, also received some new gameplay showcasing some of the killer moves that players can pull off.

Google Stadia will launch in select countries like the United States, UK, Canada and so in November. The first subscription tier will be Stadia Pro which costs $10 per month and includes a free game each month. There’s also the Founder’s Edition which has a limited edition controller, three month Stadia Pro subscription, Chromecast Ultra and Destiny 2: The Collection (which includes Shadowkeep) for $129.99. A free tier for Stadia will be introduced next year.

Earlier this year, we got the announcement that publisher THQ Nordic would be reviving Destroy All Humans! in the form of a remake of the first game. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen alien Crypto on his journey to torment the citizens of 1950s Earth, but THQ is hoping people remember it fondly enough to shell out some serious dough for two big special editions.

First up is the DNA Collector’s Edition. It includes a stress toy, a statue of Crypto tormenting a poor cow, a keychain, six lithographs, all in-game skins for Crypto, and a premium box. It’ll run you $149.99 / € 149.99 / £ 139.99.

The Crypto-137 Edition has all of that, except it trades out the Crypto’N’Cow figure for a significantly bigger statue of the man himself and, if you’re super attached to the menacing alien, a full size backpack shaped like Crypto. That’ll cost you a whopping $399.99 / €399.99 / £349.99. THQ Nordic sure likes their big collector’s editions lately, huh?

We reported earlier that THQ Nordic would be revealing new games for this year at E3, and there were rumors of them reviving some of the many IPs the company has acquired over the last few years. Of the games rumored, one was a new Darksiders, which was revealed yesterday, and another was a return of Destroy All Humans! And today, we get our first look at that.

The announcement trailer was given out via IGN, and you can look at it below. It’s a CG trailer focusing on Crypto, an alien being who has come to 1950s Earth to collect DNA of various lifeforms. The original title was an open world title that allowed you the free range to do a lot of different destruction with powers like mind control and telekinesis as you clashed with the military. The trailer shows no gameplay, but gives the idea that this remake will probably follow the same general outline.

E3 is right around the corner, and there’s all types of leaks, hints, and people scavenging the internet to look for any scrap of information leading to some potential reveals. We reported earlier on THQ Nordic’s floor plans that mentioned two new games that they plan to reveal at the show. The company owns a lot of IPs, meaning there’s a lot of ground to cover there. Now, it’s possible we know what those two games could be, thanks to a controversial source.

Earlier in the year, a representative of the company did an AMA on a controversial website. We aren’t going to get into all of that (because boy, what a can of worms- we aren’t even going to name the website in question). But during that AMA someone an employee from the company posted a potential list of games that THQ Nordic could have at the conference, and that employee may have inherently confirmed two new games mentioned in it- a new Destroy All Humans! title and a game called Darksiders: Genesis. Destroy All Humans definitely seems to fit with the wording of “galactically beloved game/franchise.” And “a bold new vision” seems like it could make sense for a spinoff of a franchise like Darksiders: Genesis might be. Both those phrases are how THQ Nordic vaguely described their upcoming E3 reveals. We have to file this as rumor for now, largely because of the nature and tone of how this was revealed. E3 is close, so we will know soon enough.
