A couple of weeks ago, GamingBolt posted leaked concept arts from Without Memory, “a psychological thriller played in the third-person perspective” which possibly hinted that the game may still be alive. The last we heard about the game was in December 2014 and since then there were no updates on where the game’s development was heading.

However GamingBolt reached out to Dinosaurium Games, the developers behind Without Memory and asked them whether the game was still in development and it turns out that the title is still alive. “Yes, we are now at the stage of closed development of demo level of Without Memory for demonstration to publisher. Indeed, published leakage materials are related to our game,” Arkadiy Kulikov, Co-CEO & Executive Producer of Dinosaurium Games confirmed to GamingBolt in an email conversation.

It will be interesting to see how much the game has changed since its original announcement. We will keep you updated as this builds.

Back in 2014, we reported on Without Memory, a PS4 exclusive title that was being worked on by Russian developer Dinosaurum Games. However over the last several months, we haven’t heard anything about the title regarding its development status and release schedule. According to this report from December 2014, the developer canceled the game’s crowdfunding campaign and remove the game’s trailer after receiving “harsh” criticism.

However it seems that the project may be still alive after all. As pointed out by NerdLeaks Twitter account, a freelance concept artist, Alexander Pavlenko has shared concept art from the game on Artstation. You can check out the concepts below. In my opinion, the concept art look pretty amazing, giving off a futuristic and sci-fi vibe.

The game’s original plot was based on a psychological thriller played in the third-person perspective, featuring three characters from the past, present and future. The game developers took heavy inspiration from Quantic Dream to develop a cinematic game. Exactly how much of the game has drifted from its original vision is unknown at this point. We have reached out to Dinosaurum Games for a clarification and will keep you updated once we hear from them.

Hey, you guys remember Without Memory? It’s a new PlayStation 4 exclusive under development at the Russian developer Dinosaurium Games, and it promises an interactive thriller adventure experience. The developers so far seem to be notably influenced by David Cage’s take on video games and storytelling in video games, and it appears that Without Memory, which is using similar game development techniques, will be a game in the vein of Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls.

Well, anyway, today the game got some brand new work in progress screenshots. You can see them above. These screenshots are all pre-alpha and the result of some preliminary initial experimentation with the PS4 hardware by the developer. The game, when it is finally completed, will look truly next gen, developer Dinosaurium Games promised on its blog.

It does look pretty impressive, especially considering the stage of development for the game, as well as the small size of the studio. Personally, I have no interest in the kinds of video games David Cage likes to make, but I’ll keep an eye on this game anyway.
