Steel your Nails – Hollow Knight’s third and final DLC Gods and Glory will be releasing on August 23rd for Nintendo Switch and PC. Like the previous two content packs, Hidden Dreams and The Grimm Troupe, it will be completely free. Check out the latest trailer below.

Promising new bosses, new NPCs and new secrets, Gods and Glory will also bring a “whole new mode” to the table. Could this be New Game Plus, thus allowing players to tackle tougher bosses and keep their progression rolling? We’re not sure at this point, but it would certainly add a lot more replay value on top of the already stellar base game.

Hollow Knight released in February 2017 for PC, and arrived on Nintendo Switch in June 2018. It is performing exceedingly well on the Switch, having already sold a whopping 250,000 copies on the console, while also notching up an impressive 1 million units sold on PC. Considering the game’s Kickstarter obtained AU$ 57,138 out of a proposed AU$ 35,000 goal, it’s good to see the developer’s hard work being rewarded.

Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight is receiving yet another free DLC pack to go with Hidden Dreams and The Grimm Troupe. Dubbed “Gods and Glory“, the DLC features a new character named The Godseeker who brings a new quest for players to pursue. Naturally that means new boss fights which the developer says are against “the ultimate foes”.

The developer is still tight-lipped on how each boss battle will connect to the new quest but it also seems we’re receiving a new mode. As per Team Cherry, it’s been “long requested” and is “a classic for the genre”. You’ll need to complete the story for Gods and Glory to unlock it though. New Glorify Charms will also become available to further deepen one’s Charm collection.

Finally, composer Christopher Larkin will offer new music for the new boss fights and some interesting remixes for existing tunes. Gods and Glory will be out in early 2018 for all Hollow Knight players.
