Ultimate Chicken Horse follows on July 3rd, while Neon Giant’s The Ascent returns to the service on July 8th for all three tiers and Minami Lane debuts on July 9th. On July 11th, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be available for cloud, console and PC on PC Game Pass/Ultimate. It will also be available for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch for $49.99 (with its Switch 2 price yet to be confirmed).

High on Life rounds out the first wave, also making its return for all three tiers and platforms on July 15th. Several titles will be leaving the service on the same day, but subscribers can purchase them for 20 percent off.

The remake of Trials of Mana and the remaster of Legend of Mana have both launched for Xbox Series X/S. The former released for Switch, PS4, and PC in 2020, while the latter arrived for the same platforms the following year, in 2021. 

Both classic action RPGs have not only launched for Xbox Series X/S, they are now also available on PC via the Microsoft Store, while both have also been added to the Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass libraries. Check out their Xbox announcement trailers below. 

Trials of Mana and Legend of Mana are both also available on iOS and Android. The franchise also saw the release of a new mainline entry last month for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC in the form of Visions of Mana.

Across 17 titles in over 30 years, the Mana series has sold over nine million units (which includes digital downloads) worldwide. The last major release was 2020’s Trials of Mana, a remake of the Super Famicom classic, which sold over one million copies as of February 2021.

Visions of Mana will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC and promises the “highest volume of content” in the series, per producer Masaru Oyamada (though the overall playtime can change depending on the player’s pace). Though a release date is still pending, the team is currently in the “middle of optimizing the final game.” Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.

PS5 players can look forward to Hardspace: Shipbreaker, while PS4 players gain access to LEGO City Undercover, Just Cause 3, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Surviving the Aftermath.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can look forward to four classic titles. Rally Cross and Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace are playable on PS4 and PS5, with both titles released on the PS1. Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection, Legend of Mana and Secret of Mana (the 2018 remake) are playable on PS4.

Thanks to backwards compatibility, all PS4 titles will also be playable on PS5. As for PS Plus Essential subscribers, check out the latest offerings here (which includes A Plague Tale: Requiem).

Legend of Mana is a remaster of the PlayStation One classic of the same name. Set in Fa’Diel, players embark on a journey to restore the world which means using different artifacts to bring various towns and dungeons back to the world map. The title is renowned for its non-linear structure and freedom of progression (though it also won’t hold your hand so be warned).

Along with HD visuals and improved backgrounds, the remaster also sports rearranged music (which sounds fantastic based on the footage below). The classic OST is also available though and there’s an option to switch off encounters. Ring Ring Land, a mini-game which released alongside the main story, also launches outside of Japan for the first time with the remaster. Legend of Mana is coming to PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch so stay tuned for more details.

The intriguing 2D-HD tactical RPG Project Triangle Strategy isn’t the only title that Square Enix has coming to the Switch. It also unveiled a remaster for Legend of Mana, which releases on June 24th for the platform along with PS4 and PC. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Based on the 1999 PlayStation One classic, Legend of Mana sees the player venturing across Fa’Diel…or rather the remnants of it, seeing as the world is empty. By discovering different artifacts, one can restore towns and dungeons to the map and progress forward. The story involves searching for the Mana Tree and is unique for not following a linear structure.

Sporting HD visuals, Legend of Mana also features rearranged music with the option of switching back to the original soundtrack. Another new feature is the ability to turn off enemy encounters along with the mini-game Ring Ring Land, which releases in the West for the first time. Square Enix continue their run of re-releases, following the first two parasite eve games, with J-RPG ‘Legend Of Mana’. Square Enix have given no definitive release date but claim the game will be out ‘soon’.
