The updated Disney collection featuring the SNES version of Aladdin will have a $9.99 upgrade option.

Disney Classic Collection will be receiving an updated version sometime later this Fall. A fan took to Twitter to ask whether or not there will be any upgrade paths for those in the older version, to which the Nighthawk Interactive’s official Twitter account replied, “yes, for $9.99″.

The updated version of the Disney Classic Collection will feature the SNES version of Aladdin alongside GBA and Mega Drive versions of The Lion King. The SNES version of Aladdin is radically different from that of the Mega Drive, being led by Capcom’s Shinji Mikami – best known for his work on Resident Evil.

It’s great that Nighthawk is offering a paid upgrade path, else interested fans would have to invest a full price once again. The release date for the game is unknown for now, although as suggested by French website Vooks, the update collection could be dropping in November 12 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Luka's second mission just made the cut.

Apparently, the ongoing Kickstarter for The Wonderful 101: Remastered was less about funding the remaster of the action game and more about gauging interest. Well, I think it’s fair to say it showed a lot of interest. On an original goal of just $50,000, it has now zoomed passed $2 million, which includes more side content.

The $2 million oal was Luka’s Second Mission (the Kickstarter passed enough for the first installment a while back). This will be, as the ame suggests, a second DLC mission of what promises to be an all new 2D side-scrolling adventure game. That should be fun to see when we do get details.

The Kickstarter is now entering its final stages, having just 30 hours to go as of writing this. There are two more stretch goals left, one at $2.25 million for fully orchestral recordings of two themes, and then $2.5 million will see new language additions. It most likely won’t hit either at this rate, but considering the success of the Kickstarter so far, maybe we shouldn’t count them out just yet.

It was all the way back in 2013 that The Wonderful 101 released for the Wii U. The game was published by Nintendo and developed by PlatinumGames. It also was a huge flop, one of the biggest in Nintendo history. But heroes never truly die, as the game was revived for a remaster via crowdfunding, a KickStarter project that has been massively successful. Now, we get the first look at gameplay.

Via Gamespot, we got a look at a 15 minute demo from the currently running PAX East. Those who played the game will find this early section of the game very familiar, and if you haven’t played it, the frantic pace is something to behold. You can check it out below.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered will release May 19th for PlayStation 4, Switch and PC. If successful, it could prompt a full sequel to the title, so unite up, fans, and make it happen.

Both goals are related to the soundtrack.

Ever since the crowdfunding page went live for the remaster of The Wonderful 101, fans have been uniting up behind the cause. Despite having an initial goal of only $49,312, the donations have soared passed that. They had previously broken five different stretch goals since beginning, and now the sixth one has fallen, with one more added for good measure.

The game has now gathered a staggering $1,779,192 as of right now, and that blows passed the latest stretch goal which would see a remixed soundtrack and promises a “secret” guest. The next goal is $2 million and includes another side-scrolling side adventure. Now, they’ve added one more at the $2.25 million mark that will include Orchestral Recordings of “The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100” and “Tables Turn” tracks.

As of writing this, the Kickstarter has 8 days to go. Generally, projects tend to get a nice little kick near the end, so both of those goals are within reach even if the Orchestrated Recordings one will probably be by the skin of its teeth. The game will release to the general public in May, with the Kickstarter saying backers get it in April. Fingers crossed it’ll come with as many bonuses as possible when we cross the finish line.

And 11th June in Japan.

I won’t lie, when I first read that PlatinumGames had started a Kickstarter for a remaster of The Wonderful 101, one of Nintendo’s most infamous flops, I didn’t think it would garner much attention. But I was proven wrong when the game smashed its original goal, and then went on to raise several more stretch goals. Now, we finally have a date for when you can unite up.

As announced via a press release, the game will release in May for both the North America and Europe regions, as well as June for Japan (you can see the NA focused announce trailer below). It will include both a digital and physical release, with the latter being distributed by Nighthawk Interactive. It’s not clear yet if Kickstarter backers will get the game early, as the campaign still mentions that the game estimated to arrive in April.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered will release on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC May 19th in North America, May 22nd in Europe, and June 11th in Japan, with a price tag of $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99 / AU$59.95. The original game’s director also said this could prompt a sequel in the near future.

It doesn't release on a Friday, but you can take the game on the go soon.

We reported earlier that the slasher inspired Dead by Daylight is coming to the Switch in September, but it seems like it’s going to get beat to the punch as the first serial killer/survivor simulator to hit the system. One of the (very few, at this point) killers not guest starring in Dead by Daylight is coming just a month beforehand with Friday the 13th.

Due to some rights issues that are unresolved, publisher Gun Media and developer IllFonic unfortunately can’t produce new content for the game, but it already got quite a lot of Friday inspired DLC before those issues arose, like costumes and emotes, all of which will be included in the Switch version of the game, which they are calling the Ultimate Slasher Edition. Those who buy the game on Switch will also get an exclusive limited edition poster. You can check it out below.

Friday the 13th: Ultimate Slasher Edition will launch on August 13th (unfortunately, not an actual Friday) and will retail for $39.99 USD.

Nighthawk Interactive have announced via a press release that the fantasy American football title Mutant Football League, which was a spiritual successor to old-time game Mutant League Football (look carefully, they’re differently named), is going to launch on the Nintendo Switch on September 18.

Originally launched on PC in 2017 and ported over to the Xbox One and PS4 in January this year, the game is now making its way to the Nintendo system- except as a more complete package. Because the version of the game launching for the Switch is the Dynasty Edition. This includes not only the base game itself, but also two additional species of fantastical beasts, six new teams, new arenas, and new Dirty Tricks (a mechanic which allows players to use underhanded tactics in the middle of games).

“We’re looking forward to introducing Mutant Football League to an all new audience with its debut on the Nintendo Switch,” said Michael Mendheim, creative director. “With the Dynasty Edition, old and new players alike can really build onto the core game to make their own unique experience. The only predictable element across the board is broken bones and fun.”

What’s more, the entire package will be launching for the price of $29.99. When it first launched, the game received middling reviews from critics (it currently has a score of 69 on OpenCritic), but at that price, who knows, maybe you might be tempted to check it out.
