Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight was always an interesting concept, pitting 4 players against a super powerful opponent against the backdrop of a horror theme. Most horror titles wear their influence on their sleeves, but Dead by Daylight took that to a new level, as it began featuring and licensing actual horror icons. It’s now became a who’s who of horror delights, as Micheal Myers, Jigsaw, Freddy Kreuger, Leatherface, and the latest, Ash Williams, have joined the game’s revolving cast of serial killers (though Ash is a survivor, to be clear). Now a new very familiar face is on its way in the form of Scream’s Ghostface.

You can see the cheeky trailer below, of Ghostface on a shopping (and killing) spree. The character is familiar to any horror film fan and has become a common and easy costume to see on any Halloween. He won’t officially come until June, but a livestream featuring the character will be on the game’s Twitch feed on May 31st.

Along with Ghostface come details of the Switch version of the game from a press release the company issued. It will come September 24th, and a retailer copy is referenced, so it seems it will have a physical copy. It will have 9 killers, 10 survivors, and 3 cosmetic packs. Whether all the other killers and survivors released will be available as DLC at some point isn’t clear.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
