The Wonderful 101

I won’t lie, when I first read that PlatinumGames had started a Kickstarter for a remaster of The Wonderful 101, one of Nintendo’s most infamous flops, I didn’t think it would garner much attention. But I was proven wrong when the game smashed its original goal, and then went on to raise several more stretch goals. Now, we finally have a date for when you can unite up.

As announced via a press release, the game will release in May for both the North America and Europe regions, as well as June for Japan (you can see the NA focused announce trailer below). It will include both a digital and physical release, with the latter being distributed by Nighthawk Interactive. It’s not clear yet if Kickstarter backers will get the game early, as the campaign still mentions that the game estimated to arrive in April.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered will release on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC May 19th in North America, May 22nd in Europe, and June 11th in Japan, with a price tag of $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99 / AU$59.95. The original game’s director also said this could prompt a sequel in the near future.
