This one brings a gritty tone and setting to a world where you're going to have master its combat systems pretty quickly if you want to survive.

Among the more interesting entries at the ID@Xbox Showcase is Vapor World: Over The Mind. It’s coming to early access for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in Q2 2026, but you can expect a brand new demo this June.

Developed by Alive Inc, this one’s a Soulslike 2D action-platformer that takes you to a place that’s decidedly not what sweet dreams are made of. Instead, you play a young boy trapped in a dark and gloomy nightmare, facing off against horrifying creatures with some cool weapons to bludgeon them into oblivion.

Of course, that’s easier said than done, and you’re going to have to adapt on the fly and use every trick in your arsenal to be the last one standing in a world that looks quite gritty. There’s a unique vibe to its art style that reminds us of Bloodborne and Lies of P.

The Early Access version promises 5 hours of gameplay, letting you experience a prologue and the first of three episodes in its entirety, while the second episode’s beginning is also available to you. The third and final episode, along with an epilogue, will be available with the final release, expanding the total playtime to around 12 hours.

The official trailer is showcased below if this one’s caught your eye.

When crouching or prone, a ring will now appear around Snake that indicates the distance and danger level of different enemies.

Perhaps spurred by the success of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami is adding some new gameplay features to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in the upcoming Master Collection Vol. 2. Meet the Threat Ring, a ring (if it wasn’t clear enough) around Solid Snake that indicates the distance of threats.

Depending on the shape and color, you can assess their threat level from behind cover. It may seem a little too strong, but you can only activate the Threat Ring when crouching or prone, which plays into the whole stealth gameplay loop perfectly.

This follows up on another feature introduced earlier this month called Flashback. During specific scenes, Snake and “others” can “recall related events,” thus revealing the “connections to past titles.” It’s possible that these function as intercut scenes to provide more context. So if you haven’t played the previous Metal Gear Solid games in a while or, as a new player, seek more information, this should help immensely.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 launches on August 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It also includes Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, which is confirmed to retain its online multiplayer modes. Could it receive some new quality-of-life features as well? Time will tell, so stay tuned for further announcements.

The video has confirmed that, with the title's focus on the 2026 racing season, players will get to ride with 38 teams and over 70 riders.

As we inch ever closer to the April 29th release date for MotoGP 26, developer Milestone has released a new deep dive trailer for the upcoming bike racing game. The trailer, which you can check out below, clocks in at seven and a half minutes in length and reveals details about the title’s focus on the 2026 racing season and its inclusion of rider ratings.

All 38 teams will be available in the 2026 racing season as represented in MotoGP 26. This means that players will get to compete against more than 70 different riders. Rider ratings will play a key role in this, with their real-world performance being accurately captured in the game. These ratings will also see constant updates throughout the racing season.

The general experience of race weekends has also seen massive upgrades thanks to new on-site sound recordings with which the studio aims to provide an “authentic” audio experience. On the presentation side of things, MotoGP 26 is aiming for realism by presenting just about every race menu as if it were being broadcast on TV. This ranges from the races themselves to various statistics screens and even management aspects.

The trailer also goes into detail about the new physics-based control system, which gives players a greater sense of control over their bikes thanks to how realistically weights can shift around when, for example, taking a sharp turn at high speeds. Just about every action has been animated to focus on realism, be it maintaining a racing line on straight tracks or getting a leg ready to counter-balance for an incoming turn.

Much like its predecessors, MotoGP 26 will also feature options between Arcade and Pro modes. While the latter is how the game was meant to be played, the Arcade Experience mode will serve as a casual-friendly onramp for newcomers to the racing sim franchise.

MotoGP 26 will also include a variety of options that can make riding around on your bike easier or harder, from adaptive difficulty for AI racers to neural riding aids for braking, throttle, and trajectory.

When it comes to the player’s career, there are options provided, like allowing them to work their way to the top of the rankings from their early days as a rookie. If they want, players can also decide to simply step into the shoes of a pre-existing rider. There will also be an emphasis on decisions having consequences, like negotiating the right kinds of contracts, and managing your relationships with the crew members in your paddock well.

MotoGP 26 is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Switch 2. Milestone has also confirmed that it will be compatible with the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handheld gaming systems. While most versions of the racing title will feature full cross-platform multiplayer for 22-player races, the Switch and Switch 2 versions will be missing the feature. Multiplayer races on the platforms will also be limited to 12 players. For more, check out the gameplay video that was released last month.

The massive DLC will also bring an entirely new game mode for solo players, giving new avenues for character progression and story.

Developer Spike Chunsoft and publisher Bandai Namco have announced new DLC for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. Dubbed Super Limit-Breaking NEO, the DLC will bring a massive update to the roster, with more than 30 new characters, as well as new customization options and stages, among other things. The DLC will be coming out alongside a free update that will bring with it an entirely new battle system. Check out the trailer showcasing the new DLC below.

Among the new playable characters coming to Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO in Super Limit-Breaking NEO is Super 17, Bardock (Super Saiyan), Champa, Demon King Piccolo, Bardock Super Saiyan, Pikkon, Nam, Tora, Supreme Kai, Uub (Kid), King Vegeta, and Vegeta (GT). While there will be several returning characters, there will also be a few that will be making their first appearance in a Budokai Tenkaichi series game.

When it comes to customization options, the DLC will bring more than 20 new things with it, ranging from costumes to skills. This will allow players to change up how their favorite characters play in new ways, while also giving them the ability to create iconic scenes from Dragon Ball, thanks in large part to the new roster additions.

Four new stages are joining the line-up of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, including iconic locations like Kami’s Palace, and Stratosphere (Planet Vegeta), the latter as seen in the classic 1990 TV special Dragon Ball Z: Bardock – The Father of Goku.

Solo players will also have plenty to look forward to with the addition of a brand new game mode – Limit Breaker Journey. The single-player experience revolves around players “deepening” their “connection” with the game’s various characters. It will involve players taking on a variety of branching scenarios where they can fight, train, and partake in major events from the characters’ stories. Partaking in the game mode will reward players with unique items, and any progression built up here can be carried over into online multiplayer.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO was originally released back in October 2024, and since then has seen quite a bit of post-launch support. In October 2025, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft celebrated the game’s massive roster of at the time 208 characters with a trailer. While it had originally launched with 182 playable characters, DLC releases brought in even more from projects like Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Dragon Ball Daima. Dragon Ball Legends‘ Shallot also came to the game at one point.

In other Dragon Ball-related news, October 2025 also saw the announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ seeing an expansion to its roster. The fighting game will see the addition of Super Saiyan 4 Goku as depicted in Dragon Ball Daima. At the same time, it also got a balance patch which brought in quite a few changes, including the addition of the Z Reflect mechanic for all characters except Videl. The mechanic allows players to “parry” an opponent by perfectly timing a block for a physical strike, which then triggers a “screen freeze”, giving the player the chance to use Vanish.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Switch 2.

Estelle and Joshua’s adventures continue, with the next chapter bringing several fine touches and a slew of new faces to meet.

We’ve been eagerly waiting for news about Trials In The Sky 2nd Chapter ever since it was announced for a September 2026 release.

Well, we now have a release date for the game, and we’re going to return to Estelle and Joshua’s adventures on September 17th for PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PC. The new game is all set to bring the first one’s excellent touches to the table, remaining true to the original experience while doing enough to justify remaking it for a modern audience. We were very happy with the first one, and see no reason to expect anything less from the upcoming addition to the franchise.

Of course, those who jumped in with the 1st Chapter will be meeting a lot of new faces this time around, each one bringing distinct backstories, motivations, and skill sets to use in the revamped combat. There are also some exciting pre-order bonuses to grab across all playable platforms for those of you who share our enthusiasm, including (but not limited to) new costumes, music tracks, and even an HD version of the original title on consoles (albeit only in Japan).

For those of you who don’t, maybe a new trailer will change your mind.

Going to Hell is now a welcome trip on your console, and who better than Melinoë to give you a little company and an entertaining tale?

After making waves on the PC and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, Hades 2 is celebrating its release on two new platforms – Xbox Series X/S and PS5. It’s also playable on Game Pass Ultimate and Premium alongside PC Game Pass, making it worth the price of subscribing alone.

Melinoë’s effort to free her family from the clutches of Cronos is a charming romp through the depths of hell, and one that we thoroughly enjoyed last year. It blends charm and humor into a story that could have been rather morbid considering the dire circumstances. We were particularly fond of all the cool weapons you can find, each one adding a new layer to the game’s combat.

Add in some great mechanics, a solid narrative, quirky characters, a bevvy of awesome enemies, and imposing bosses to take on with the skills you pick up along the way, and you have the recipe for a hit. Those accolades aren’t too surprising, really.

The new trailer, showcased below, is evidence of that, and it’s a great peek at the general critical response Hades 2 has received since it exited early access. This one’s quite easy to recommend, and could keep you occupied for hours on end.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has been rated PG-12 in Taiwan thanks to the presence of violence and inappropriate language.

Five years after the original release of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch (via cloud), it looks like the title is now also making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. While there hasn’t yet been an official announcement for the port, it has been rated by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, as spotted by Gematsu.

The listing doesn’t yet mention a launch date, noting that one hasn’t yet been approved, but it does mention that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on Nintendo Switch 2 will be rated PG-12 thanks to the presence of violence and inappropriate language.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy puts players in the shoes of Peter Quill / Star-Lord, who happens to be the leader of the eponymous group. The story takes place some time after a major event called the Galactic War, which involved Thanos and the Chitauri. The roster of the Guardians in this story—notably separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe—will be familiar to fans of the films, and includes Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer. For more details, take a look at our review from back when it first came out.

As of November 2022, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy had gotten more than 8 million players across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. CEO of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, Phil Rogers, said that the game being available through Game Pass and PlayStation Plus helped with player engagement quite a bit. “I’ve actually just landed back from a few days in Montreal,” he said at the time. “There’s great pride in the team about the game they’ve made, and there’s also great excitement now about how we drive it commercially within our own business unit.”

It is worth noting that, despite getting a positive critical reception, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy seemingly failed to hit internal sales targets. However, in 2023, Disney’s head of gaming, Sean Shoptaw, said that the company would be happy to work with the studio again. “Games are really hard to make,” he said. “If you’ve got great IP. If you’ve got a great story. You know, it’s still a challenge.”

The discovery of the Nintendo Switch 2 port listing comes just a few days after developer Eidos Montreal was hit by major layoffs. The studio announced that 124 of its employees were being let go, and studio head David Anfossi would be leaving as well.

“The reduction in workforce affecting 124 employees is a result of changing project needs and impacts across production and support teams. Today is a difficult day for our studio and reflects the need to adapt and concentrate efforts where Eidos-Montréal can be most effective,” wrote Eidos-Montréal in its announcement.

“Also, after many years as Head of Studio, David Anfossi and Eidos Montréal are also parting ways. We thank David for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors. A transition plan is underway, and further updates will be shared as new leadership is finalized.”

Professor Layton and Luke team together in the industrious town of Steam Bison to solve the "most puzzles in series history."

After lying dormant for roughly a year, Level-5 finally revealed new details and gameplay for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. It’s out this year for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, with PlayStation 5 and PC also joining the platform line-up.

As showcased during the Level-5 Vision 2026 Craftsmanship stream, the Professor and his assistant Luke reunite after a year apart in Steam Bison, America. While the town is in the midst of an industrial revolution, heavily pushing steam tech, there are more than enough mysteries. A phantom gunman stalks the streets, and Elida, an heiress, has been kidnapped.

Whatever may be going on, players can expect the biggest collection of puzzles in the series to date. These range from plotting escape routes to side-scrolling platforming, but fans can look forward to numerous other features, including full 3D cutscenes, mouse support on Switch 2, a Coin Radar, and “updated movement.”

And while it’s touting a fair amount of challenge with its puzzles, you can enable hints and even take notes to keep track of details via the Memo. Adding to the already slick presentation is the theme song, which is composed by the legendary Joe Hisaishi, best known for Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Ni no Kuni 2, and more.

Stay tuned for more details and a concrete release date in the coming months, especially as development nears completion.

The latest action RPG from Radical Fish Games of CrossCode fame will finally enter early access in less than a month for PC.

CrossCode developer Radical Fish Games has been working hard on its next game, another action RPG known as Alabaster Dawn. And while the demo has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, what about the state of early access? The latest trailer at the Triple-i Initiative has finally revealed a date – May 7th for PC.

Of course, it also provided a strong run-through of everything you can expect, from puzzle-solving and boss battles to restoring civilization as a whole. As a retro-style action RPG, Alabaster Dawn focuses on Juno, who embarks on a journey to save the world. Fighting the curse that has overtaken the land is only part of the solution, as you also need to rebuild different towns.

While its combat is based on CrossCode, other inspirations include Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry. And while elements return, allowing for unique combos, you can use eight different weapons, each with its own skill trees. It’s pretty snazzy, and the new enemies look especially impressive thanks to the new 2.5D art style.

Alabaster Dawn will apparently offer 30 to 60 hours of gameplay in its full release. As for early access and what it has to offer, stay tuned for more details.

The series's first new title in 11 years is out this Summer for the Nintendo Switch, and could signal many more announcements to come.

Even if there’s a new general Direct this June, as rumors claim, Nintendo isn’t waiting to drop some release dates. It was announced on Twitter that Rhythm Heaven Groove will launch on July 2nd for Nintendo Switch. There’s also some short new gameplay from the song “Slice N Dice Kitchen,” which involves catching fruits to the beat.

As the first new entry in the series since 2016’s Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Rhythm Heaven Groove sticks to the series’ formula of WarioWare-style minigames. Voice acting is also present, with Nintendo leaning into the Tomodachi Life-esque lilting tones.

Thus far, it’s unconfirmed just how many songs will be in the game, although we’ve seen sequences involving geese, cats, aliens, and much more. If that sounds like your kind of jam, then Rhythm Heaven Groove may be worth watching out for.

Of course, this only lends credence to insider NateTheHate’s reports on Nintendo’s Summer release line-up, with Splatoon Raiders and Switch Sports also allegedly on the way. A new “classic style” Star Fox is also expected, with an announcement reportedly happening this month.

And then of course, the big one – a rumored remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, allegedly launching near the Holidays. As always, stay tuned for more updates.
