Though Nexon didn’t provide any further details on its premise, it did confirm that the title is set on the Arad Continent and features a “diverse cast of characters.” Arad was supposedly created by the Great Mage Myre and used to be in contact with Empyrean through the Sky Tower before Bakal, the King of Dragons, appeared.

The action RPG may be set during this period, thus granting a glimpse into the past. Either way, it will be exhibited during G-Star 2024 from November 14th to 17th in South Korea, so we’ll learn more in just a few weeks.

Dungeon and Fighter: ARAD doesn’t have a release date, but it’s in development for consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Stay tuned for more details, and check out the opening cinematic for The First Berserker: Khazan, Nexon’s other action RPG, which launches in early 2025.

Dungeon and Fighter launched in August 2005 for PC in South Korea. It would arrive in North America as Dungeon Fighter Online (pictured above) in 2010. Though the service ended in 2013, it would relaunch globally in 2015 and make its way to mobile platforms in March 2022. The franchise has seen over 850 million players worldwide.

Nexon is working on other projects based on Dungeon and Fighter, namely Project OVERKILL and Project AK. As for DNF Duel, it’s coming to Nintendo Switch on April 20th. Its Season Pass also goes live this year, adding five new characters. The Female Slayer, Spectre, is the first to be added. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
