Straight4 Studios' racing sim is now closer to what it was meant to be at launch, and this new update has a lot to do with that.

Project Motor Racing might not have enjoyed the launch it had hoped for when it released last year, but that hasn’t stopped Straight4 Studios from working hard to address complaints for its visually stunning racing sim.

The fruits of all that hard work are now there for us to check out, with Update 2.0 bringing a host of changes to the game, ranging from its UI right down to refinements to how its awesome fleet of cars feels on the track. It’s quite an insightful list of fixes, with a redesigned UI that has addressed a distinct lack of guidance that we called out in our review, improvements to cars like GT3, GT4, Porsche 992 Cup, GT, and N-GT, and a host of other changes that are aimed at making the experience a lot more palatable this time around.

A new trailer for the update, showcased below, is evidence of a lot of effort that’s gone into getting this one out to the game. Whether it manages to let Project Motor Racing surge ahead of its competition remains to be seen, though. Nevertheless, any studio that pays attention to what its players are looking for and addresses those needs gets our approval.

A barebones return of the Project CARS spirit that shows flashes of excellence.

The state of the racing sim genre has really wavered in the past half decade. With the rise of the persistent open world and the successes of more arcade-style racers, the attention toward realistic simulation has waned, even in some of the industry’s biggest franchises. Nowhere was this clearer than with Project CARS, the now-defunct racing franchise that began as a hardcore driving simulation and showed signs of long-term viability with its stellar sequel, only to swerve into becoming an arcade racer for its third entry after multiple studio acquisitions and mounting industry pressure.

Though that franchise is seemingly dead, Project Motor Racing is here to fill the gap, a spiritual sequel to Project CARS 2 whose main influence is as thinly veiled as its title and whose development team is largely intact. This is a dedicated simulation that puts every emphasis on the distinct feel of each individual car, the in-depth modifications that can completely change how you drive, and the sights and sounds of the racetrack throughout race weekend.

It’s a gorgeous, visually and sonically striking game that offers even deeper car and race customization, which really hums when everything clicks. At the same time, though, its focus on so many small details leaves the broader experience feeling aimless, and at full price, it’s notably content-light at launch and relies heavily on the promise of future content updates and mods, feeling significantly scaled back from its spiritual predecessors.

"The Career mode, where much of the game’s training takes place before sending you into the world of ranked online play, is significantly scaled back."

While arcade racers often leave the car fine-tuning and mid-race adjustments in the dust, Project Motor Racing opts to make them a focal point of the experience, and with the number and detail of options available, this is a game made for the most hardcore motor racing fans.

From your suspension profile to your tire compound, the drivers who optimize their car for the track and conditions are the ones who compete for the championship each weekend, and the new Hadron engine that powers the new handling system gives each car a vivid feel, whether you’re leading the pack at the end of a race or spinning out in practice. I mostly played on a gamepad, where keeping control of your vehicle while competing is at least manageable if a little unpredictable around tight turns, but this game shines on a wheel with phenomenal feedback and truly distinct handling for each car class.

What the detailed optionality comes at the expense of, though, is accessibility. While I hesitate to make direct mode comparisons to Project CARS 2 given the differences in budget and studio size, what’s disheartening in Project Motor Racing is the broad lack of tutorials or guidance.

It might make sense that a hardcore simulation is made for those familiar with these cars and tracks already, but unlike its predecessors, it’s going to feel overwhelming to those who don’t already know what they’re looking for. Aside from a brief introductory tutorial, there are almost no materials to help you learn about which tweaks will have what impact, nor are there recommendations for how to set up your car given track conditions or performance.

Additionally, the Career mode, where much of the game’s training takes place before sending you into the world of ranked online play, is significantly scaled back as well, ultimately landing as a series of individual grand prix weekends strung together loosely with its financial overhang. With a underwhelming career mode, its remarkable limitations in its off-track customization stand out even more.

When you begin, you can choose from an “Authentic” or “Classic” experience, with the only difference being the ability to restart races and the ability to change AI difficulty at the beginning of the Career. Your only real other choice is the sponsorship model, which dictates your income and ranges from the “Rolling Billboard” model that pays you the same amount each race regardless of performance to the “Champion” model that pays nothing unless you win the weekend.

"When the sights, sounds, and feels of a race all come together, Project Motor Racing is truly remarkable."

Those choices are made before you start your first race, so even though you also need to purchase cars and pay entry fees for each race weekend, once you finalize your Career settings, there’s almost no other decision-making to be done afterward. Outside of the Career mode, too, the modes are particularly sparse, only offering quick play, online play, and a handful of time or endurance challenges that promise to have more created by the community. Every mode, from the ranked online to the career, is about funneling you to different forms of races or challenges, but I wish it had some more creativity about how it went about doing that.

Regardless, from that point forward, it’s all about the remarkable on-track experience, a continued strength for the team at Straight4 Studios. Whether you’re practicing, running a race, or spectating, this game looks and sounds absolutely stunning, as different car classes whiz by and tires screech across dynamically-paved tracks.

Each car is intricately recreated both in its performance and its design, and each track is nearly photorealistic to its real-life counterpart, dynamically changing with incredibly impressive weather and timing effects that can make races on the same track feel completely different. Even the music that plays on menus and during setup had me bobbing my head along with it surprised at how much I was consistently enjoying it.

When the sights, sounds, and feels of a race all come together, Project Motor Racing is truly remarkable, especially with higher car classes and at higher difficulties. With so many moving parts, though, it can unfortunately be daunting how much the game expects of you given how little guidance it provides.

Unless you’re in a match with custom rules, penalties are always on, and the only option to change the difficulty is to adjust the computer drivers’ intelligence level. With no ability to rewind, or in some cases to even restart a race, every turn, acceleration, and bump can spell the end for you and your run. Even the online matches, for example, require you to complete 8 laps at Lime Rock Park at just over a minute per lap to even gain access to the league, and that time is no joke.

"Shortcomings aside, Project Motor Racing is a promising start to righting the ship for the racing sim genre."

Without a proper tutorial, or much in the way of recommendations for how to best prepare for a certain race, there’s an inherently unforgiving and aimless structure here that can cause a cycle of failure that might turn new players off before they get the hang of it, even if the payoff is usually worth it. At the same time, the game expects you to put in a significant amount of time and effort to learning its tracks and cars, but it doesn’t offer a heap of content.

With 18 tracks and 70 cars across 13 classes, the roster here is notably smaller than many other games in the genre, including the Project CARS games, even if what it has to offer is done very well. The track listing contains most of the common tracks you’d expect like the Nurburgring and Daytona, and the cars each legitimately feel unique from one another, though I am disappointed we didn’t get to see go-karts again. It’s clear, though, that with this amount of content and a full $70 price tag, this game is made for people who want to go as deep with their car customization and racing styles as possible to optimize their lap and racing times, almost to the point of feeling more like a training simulator for real-life drivers than a racing game at points.

Shortcomings aside, Project Motor Racing is a promising start to righting the ship for the racing sim genre. Experiencing how each individual car handles differently based on different setup tweaks, watching the weather change in real-time, and hitting a turn perfectly feel incredible with the new engine, even if the limited amount of content and guidance kneecaps the appeal to non-hardcore racers.

It’s an experience that can have you jumping from elation to frustration in a moment, for better and for worse. Regardless, if this is the beginning of a new racing sim franchise that can build and expand on this foundation in the same way as the ones that came before it, I’m excited about what the future holds for Project Motor Racing.

Straight4 Studios is pulling out all the stops to make sure that its latest title fires on all cylinders right from the get go.

Project Motor Racing has been a much-anticipated title from Straight4 Studios, and could be another very good-looking and capable motorsport simulator to grace the current-gen lineup. We’ve been talking about a couple of racing titles and their excellent visuals, but this one might just be the one to beat, aside from a gameplay loop that’s looking quite close to the real thing.

If you’re thinking about buckling up in the driver’s seat for this one, we’ve got a few things you might want to know before picking up your copy. Let’s dive in!

1. The Factory Driver Program

In its effort to make the game feel as close to operating its variety of cars in the real world as it does in-game, the studio has made solid use of the Factory Driver Program, an initiative in which several pro divers test drove virtual versions of the vehicles in the game, adding pointers and feedback that was then used to fine tune the experience and present a very authentic take on each car you drive.

And speaking of immersion, the realistic handling of cars is just the beginning.

2. Stunning Visuals and Audio

Built on the GIANTS 10 Engine, this game’s a stunner irrespective of the platform you’re playing it on. Dynamic weather systems, some excellent graphical touches, and a physics system that is sure to push your hardware to its limits work very well together to present an experience that could turn your gaming room into the track you’re currently racing at.

The game’s visuals and audio are another pillar of the authentic experience it aims to offer, and there’s a lot going on in pursuit of that goal.

3. Check The Weather

Remember those dynamic weather systems we talked about? Well, the True2Track system in Project Motor Racing offers a racing experience in which no two laps can feel the same, even in the same race, if the weather conditions allow for such unpredictability. As per the developers, it’s a “GPU-driven surface model” that switches things up on the fly even as you’re tearing across the asphalt.

Expect to account for prevailing conditions as you line up your next corner, and be ready to adapt according to the road.

4. A Fleet of Different Cars

If you’re in it for the rides you can get your hands on, we’ve got excellent news. There’s quite a list of confirmed vehicles already in place for the game, and perhaps even more cars on the way post-release. There’s news on the DLC front that we’re going to get to in just a minute, but the good news is that your garage is going to be quite crowded if you so choose.

With some of the finest machines from Mercedes, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Mazda, Panoz, and Chevrolet, there’s sure to be something that feels just right for you.

5. Tracks

Of course, even the best of cars are nothing if there are no good places to drive them and see what they can really do. Fortunately, there’s a list of tracks from around the world for you to take on in Project Motor Racing, and with the game’s authentic handling and emphasis on realistic visuals, you’re going to have your hands full.

There are 18 tracks and 28 different layouts to choose from, which means that you have a lot of ground to cover as you try to blaze a path to glory.

6. DLC Additions

There are quite a few exciting additions to the game as part of its DLC, beginning with the Year One Season Pass, which includes the Group 5 Revival Pack, alongside the GTE Decade Pack, and the GT Legends and VS Legends Power Pack, all of which are scheduled to launch over the game’s first year.

Bringing new cars with some memorable histories and a bunch of tracks, it’s clear that Straight4 has more than a few tricks up its sleeve.

7. Multiplayer Options

This is another excellent bit of news, as the game fully supports cross-platform play and leaderboards “across different modes and styles of race events” as per the developers. There are going to be weekly and monthly event rotations and scheduled races that a lot of you might be looking to make your mark on.

Diving into races that span different modes and styles with your friends is definitely going to be a wild ride.

8. Modders, Rejoice

Modders on the GIANTS editor might be happy to know that the console versions of the game support mods built on it, and this one is sure to bring a lot of new touches to the game. Creative additions could change the way you experience the game and perhaps even give you the edge you need for single-player modes.

You might even find some very unique looks for your car while you’re at it, and perhaps even make a few requests based on how things play out.

9. Your Choices Have Consequences

The game’s career mode seems set to make things as real as they get, with the sometimes brutal world of professional motorsports being a part of your experience. You’re going to have to manage budgets, repairs, sponsors, and perhaps even crashes that could leave your car wrecked and your career in shambles.

Expect to face the consequences of your choices both on and off the track as you dive into your path to fame and fortune as a racer.

10. Vehicle Classes

You get to choose from vehicle classes that have some very iconic cars as part of their lineup. The GT4 class, for instance, comes with all the competitive regulations that its cars must navigate in the real world, such as stock tires and a limit on allowed modifications.

Or perhaps the GTE class of cars that come as a preorder bonus might be more to your taste. There are a ton of attractive options, and your choices are going to be quite difficult if you’re picky about the wheels you put on the road.

11. Year One Season Pass

While we already touched on the game’s DLC roadmap, its Year One Season Pass content is worth diving into. That’s because it’s slated to add more than 30 cars and 3 new tracks to the game, including the Japanese GT500, Endurance Racing Expansion, and V8 Power packs in addition to the ones we already covered.

With a steady stream of new content being consistently added over the course of the year, it looks like Project Motor Racing’s going to be a constant in the lives of racing enthusiasts among you for a while.

12. Simulation-First Physics

It’s time to get to the races themselves. The GIANTS 10 engine doesn’t just bring great visuals to the table, but it also brings a “first-principles” physics model with high-fidelity force feedback that could really bring a race to life.

With 720Hz being a prominent talking point in promotional materials, your car is going to behave exactly as it would in the real world, and you’re going to have to become one with your wheel and squeeze every bit of life out of your engine and drivetrain as you tear across the tracks.

13. Driver Equipment You Actually Control

Your wipers, headlights, ABS, traction control, ECU Maps, and more are under your direct control, allowing you to make your car work with you instead of against you as you tackle different tracks and weather conditions.

If you haven’t been able to get into the driver’s seat of some of your favorites, Project Motor Racing might just be the next best thing, giving you a realistic recreation of the cockpit of some of the world’s fastest roadsters.

14. Licensing & Class-Specific Ratings

If you’re thinking about taking it online, Project Motor Racing features a 0-100 per-class driver rating system that precedes online play. It works quite well to pit you against opponents at a similar level of skill, while matchmaking is further enhanced by separate ratings for each class of vehicles.

It also means that you’re encouraged to play across classes and rack up wins to ensure that you’re racing against the best, no matter which class you pick. All races use standing starts at launch, but IMSA-style rolling starts are planned at some point post-launch.

15. Rig Features and PC Requirements

You get to use some pretty awesome rig features right out of the box with support for triple displays, PC VR, compatibility with a wide range of controllers and wheels, and UDP telemetry for your dashboard or haptics.

For PC players, the minimum specs you’re going to need include a Windows 10 (x64), an Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (6 cores or more), 16GB RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 580 (6 GB VRAM or more) GPU, DirectX 12, and 50GB of storage.

The recommended specs include Windows 11, an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3800 (8 cores or more), 24GB RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3070 / AMD Radeon RX 6800 (8 GB VRAM or more) GPU.

And that’s all you need to know before you decide to grab the keys to Project Motor Racing and begin to burn some rubber at some of the most iconic racing tracks around the world. We hope to see you around the next corner!

Fancy some epic fantasy action RPGs? How about the return of a classic puzzler or two new stunning side-scrollers? November has it all.

The year is slowly but surely coming to a close, and even after the onslaught of major releases in September and October, November has its fair share of games to offer. Between that one sequel that everyone either loves or hates (you know the one), there are epic open-world titles to look forward to, the return of a beloved puzzler, an extraction shooter, and even a game that’s over nine years in development. Without further ado, check out the 15 biggest games launching in November 2025.

Of Ash and Steel

An open-world third-person action RPG developed on Unreal Engine 4, that too from a relatively unknown studio? That’s Of Ash and Steel, set in the Kingdom of the Seven, and promising an old-school approach to exploration. Essentially, you need to find your own footing in the world with no markers or quest guidance, and there are plenty of secrets to discover alongside enemies to smack around. Of Ash and Steel is available on November 24th, exclusively for PC.

Lumines Arise

Lumines but somehow even trippier, from the team that brought you surrealist and trippy Tetris. Launching on November 11th for PS5 and PC (with VR support for both), Lumines Arise offers its own Journey Mode, complete with a gorgeous soundscape and visuals, before shuffling you into the real game: Survival. And that’s before creating playlists of stages, completing challenges and playing online, all while ascending to a brand new plane.

Possessor(s)

After the underwhelming Hyper Light Breaker, Heart Machine returns to its 2D roots with Possessor(s), a side-scroller with fighting game-like combos. Players venture through the remains of Sanzu City as Luca, possessed by the mysterious Rhem, using anything and everything to fight off monstrosities. With non-linear exploration, other tragic characters to unravel, and a gorgeous art style, it’s one to keep an eye on ahead of its November 11th release on PS5 and PC.

Where Winds Meet

Everstone Studios’ stunning open-world action RPG has made some seriously strong impressions in China. Its global release is slated for November 14th on PS5 and PC, and thus far, the Wuxia fantasy and depiction of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms still looks as stunning as the combat and traversal. With more than 150 hours of gameplay and co-op-exclusive activities, we can’t wait to unpack it all.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road

Announced in 2016, renamed several times, and delayed several times more, Inazuma Eleven is seemingly set to launch, at last, on November 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Level-5 Games boasts more than 5,400 characters in a brand new story with, of all things, time-travelling, and anime cutscenes by none other than MAPPA. Whether it lives up to expectations or not, the sheer scope and spectacle are intriguing enough.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Something something Raul Menendez is alive, and only David Mason and his team can stop the spread of fear, something. The story of Black Ops 7 doesn’t inspire much hope, but the prospect of four-player campaign co-op is intriguing, especially the 32-player end-game. But except for new maps and modes in multiplayer, a new Wall-Bounce mechanic, and a fresh Zombies experience, this is about as Call of Duty as you’d expect in this day and age. It’s out on November 14th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles alongside PC.

Escape from Tarkov

Numerous years and controversies later, Battlestate Games’ Escape from Tarkov Version 1.0 is finally launching on November 15th for PC. As a hardcore extraction shooter experience, it’s received extensive praise for its survival elements (including a realistic injury and treatment system) and realistic gunplay. It’s no Escape From Duckov, but with 11 maps and a PvE mode, its official launch could either be game-changing or grounds for even more controversies.

Syberia Remastered

A full remaster of the title that started it all, Syberia Remastered offers improved visuals, transforming classic locations while retaining their atmosphere. It also offers more refined puzzles, better controls, and an updated UI to make experiencing Kate Walker’s journey through the real and fantastical that much smoother. Syberia Remastered launches on November 6th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Kirby Air Riders

If more than 105 minutes of footage meticulously laying out features across two Directs wasn’t enough to sell you on Kirby Air Riders before its November 20th release, then nothing will. Between a new Story Mode featuring the Fountain of Dreams and Nova, the return of Top Ride, all the classic tracks from the original, and everything in between, Kirby could once again be a dark horse among Switch 2 releases this year.

Project Motor Racing

It’s not quite Project CARS 4, but with some of the talent from Slightly Made and the backing of Giants Software, Project Motor Racing could be the next best thing. It packs more than 70 cars and 27 meticulously recreated tracks with dynamic weather, a day/night cycle, a Career Mode, multiplayer and events. All this, complete with realistic physics and sound design. What more could you want? We’ll find out when Motor Racing launches on November 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

Terminator 2D: No Fate

Bitmap Bureau revisits the legendary action film, but through the lens of a retro-style 2D side-scrolling shooter. After several delays, Terminator 2D: No Fate is finally launching on November 26th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and if its visuals and action weren’t enough, you can also explore alternate scenarios based on decisions, resulting in completely different endings.

Football Manager 26

After cancelling last year’s edition, Sports Interactive is set to deliver Football Manager 26 on November 4th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. While numerous leagues and tons of players are a given, it’s all the other changes that have us excited, including an overhauled manager creation system, extensively reworked UI, and – for the first time – a partnership with FIFA.

Rennsport

What if RoboCop: Rogue City developer Teyon offered a racing sim? You get Rennsport, which releases out of early access on November 13th for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed alongside Competition Company, it offers a range of different vehicle classes, iconic tracks like Daytona and Spa-Francorchamps, and multiplayer. Early access impressions aren’t the most positive, but maybe Version 1.0 will turn things around.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (PS5)

Exactly one year later, GSC Game World’s survival sandbox has grown a lot, not to mention improved by leaps and bounds on a technical level. On PS5, it offers even more, from DualSense support to gyroscope aiming on top of PS5 Pro support. And while it may sound gimmicky, hearing the radio through the microphone or playing the guitar with the touchpad feels right. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl arrives on PS5 just in time to celebrate its first anniversary – November 20th.

Constance

Looking for a less strenuous side-scroller after Silksong? Constance could very well be it with a beautiful hand-drawn style and surreal mindscape created by its protagonist. Even if several of the basics look familiar, combat offers unique mechanics, from dispelling darkness to transforming into paint to climb up walls. Launching on November 24th, Constance will be available on PC, with console releases to follow in 2026.

True2Track can help with the simulation of racing surfaces across weather effects, complete with realistic puddle formation, for example.

Developer Straight4 Studios and publisher Giants Software have released a new trailer for upcoming racing sim Project Motor Racing. The trailer focuses on the True2Track technology that was used by the studio to accurately simulate the surfaces of the various tracks that players will get to race around. Check out the trailer below.

Among the features of the True2Track system are the dynamic weather systems and adaptive racing lines that ensure that the surface of the track will have a tangible effect on how you drive around. The trailer itself showcases various sports cars from across different classes racing against each other in a variety of different weather conditions, all showcased in slow-motion with dramatic music in the background.

Straight4 Studios has described True2Track as being a GPU-driven surface model that can change up how driving feels even between different laps in a single race. Among the things taken into account for the system are weather and time, with full day-night transition and puddle formation, grip evolution with how rubber builds up on the racing line, and performance gains by making sure the GPU handles these calculations rather than putting additional load on a system’s CPU.

Along with this, the developer has also confirmed that Daytona International Speedway will be part of the line-up of tracks that players can take on right from day one of Project Motor Racing’s launch. Things brings up the number of tracks in the game up to 18 global locations and 28 scanned layouts.

Straight4 Studios has also confirmed a host of new vehicles that will also be part of the game’s drivable roster, including the Roush Mercury Cougar XR-7, the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 IMSA GTO, the Audio 90 quattro IMSA GTO, and the Mazda RX-7. Thesew ill be joined by prototype vehicles like the 2023 Toyota GR010 Hybrid (LMDh), the 2023 Acura ARX-06 (LMDh), the 2002 Cadillac Northstar LMP-02 (LMP), and the 1989 Mercedes-Benz Sauber C9 (Group C).

A gameplay showcase for Project Motor Racing was released earlier this week, giving us an unedited idea of what raw gameplay in the racing sim will look like. The video was recorded from the cockpit of a Saleen S7-R, with no camera tricks or post-processing having been done on it. Along with this, the AI racer difficulty was also set to its highest for the showcase.

When it comes to multiplayer, Straight4 Studios had revealed details last month, confirming that Project Motor Racing will feature a number of different online modes. These include monthly championship events and weekly track rotations, complete with scheduled race times. Players across different platforms can also race together thanks to cross-platform multiplayer, as well as the presence of leaderboards across different modes and styles of race events that further promote competition.

Project Motor Racing is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and is slated for release on November 25. The title will also include support for mods on all platforms, making use of the GIANTS Editor to ensure compatibility across the three platforms.

The latest showcase has no post-processing or editing effects in the race. Even the audio is authentic to what players will experience.

Developer Straight4 Studios and publisher Giants Software have released a brand new trailer for upcoming racing sim Project Motor Racing, this time around showcasing some raw gameplay, with AI racer difficulty set to its highest. Promising no camera tricks or post-processing, the gameplay is showcased from the cockpit of a Saleen S7-R. Even the audio has been left essentially untouched, giving us an idea of what the various cars in Project Motor Racing will sound like as they speed and brake through any given race track’s straights and corners.

Just last month, Straight4 Studios had also showcased the various multiplayer features of Project Motor Racing, which include monthly championship events with weekly track rotations, scheduled race times, cross-platform multiplayer, distinct leaderboards across different styles of race events, and even custom multiplayer lobbies. Along with this, the developer had also noted that multiplayer for Project Motor Racing will not require any additional payments or subscriptions to rent multiplayer servers, as is typically seen in racing sim games like BeamNG.drive (via BeamMP), Automobilista 2 and the Assetto Corsa franchise.

Project Motor Racing is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and is slated for release on November 25. Along with all of its core features, the racing sim will also include full mod support across all platforms, and has been described by the studio as being a “no compromises” title that has been designed from the ground up for motorsport racing enthusiasts.

“We wanted to capture the harsh reality of pro motorsport: Budgets. Repairs. Sponsors. Failed overtakes that don’t just wreck your car but your whole season,” said design director Austin Ogonoski back in June. “Your career in Project Motor Racing is motorsport with consequences.”

Mod support across the PC and console versions will be handled using the official GIANTS Editor, both for creating mods as well as sharing them through the in-game user-generated content portal. The studio has also stated that it will be testing every mod released for the game to ensure maximum compatibility across all platforms.

The simulation-styled gameplay has been one of its core defining factors since as far back as April, when it got a trailer that gave us a look at the kind of experience offered by the title when played with a full-fledged sim racing setup, complete with multiple monitors and high-end peripherals like steering wheels and gear shifters.

When it comes out, Project Motor Racing will feature more than 70 vehicles across 10 racing classes, and 27 different track layouts. The title will feature a host of licensed cars from a wide range of manufacturers, including Aston Martin, Audi, Lamborghini, Chevrolet, Mercedes-AMG, Acura, Nissan, Toyota, and Mazda, among many others.

For more details, check out a trailer showcasing the weather effects of Project Motor Racing, and how they can affect your racing experience.

The studio behind Project Motor Racing has also confirmed that cars by Porsche, Aston Martin, and even Ford will be available at launch.

Developer Straight4 Studios and publisher GIANTS Software have released a new trailer for upcoming racing sim Project Motor Racing. The trailer, released during Gamescom, focuses on some of the vehicles that will be available in the game, with the pack being led by a line-up of Porsche cars. Check out the trailer below.

Project Motor Racing will feature a variety of cars under Porsche’s umbrella, including the 2023 Porsche 963, the 1970 917K, and even legendary classics like the 1992 911 GT3 R, and the 911 GT1-98 and 962C. Along with these, Aston Martin cars will also be included in the game, including the 2025 Valkyrie Hypercar, and the AMR Vantage GT3, as well as Ford’s 2024 Mustang GT4.

The racing sim will also feature two new eras of the sport – GT1 and Group C. While the former will feature high-stakes races with exotic supercars from the 1990s, the latter will instead focus on the prototyping for endurance races. This brings up the number of racing classes that will be available in Project Motor Racing up to 9, spanning half a century of the sport. More racing classes are also confirmed to be in the works.

The latest trailer for Project Motor Racing also confirms that its roster of race tracks will include legendary tracks like the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and Bathurst’s Mount Panorama. All in all, the title is slated to have 28 different race track layouts across 18 different locations from all over the world.

Project Motor Racing will make use of its own proprietary True2Track technology that allows for realistic depictions of the various race tracks, as well as dynamic weather systems that can effect racing lines thanks to realistic drying and drainage behaviour to deal with things like rain. The game will also feature a synchronised 24-hour day/night cycle that mirrors the real-world.

The racing title had its release date confirmed all the way back in June, with design director Austin Ogonoski mentioning that capturing the authenticity of driving with realistic racing physics was one of the most important things for the studio.

“We wanted to capture the harsh reality of pro motorsport: Budgets. Repairs. Sponsors. Failed overtakes that don’t just wreck your car but your whole season,” said Ogonoski. “Your career in Project Motor Racing is motorsport with consequences.”

The title is also confirmed to feature mod support, and will use the official GIANTS Editor so that players can create and share their own content for the game. Mods are also confirmed to work across all available platforms, with the studio itself taking responsibility to ensure compatibility.

“Project Motor Racing taps into the same powerhouse modding ecosystem as Farming Simulator,” said CSO and head of publishing at GIANTS Software Boris Stefan when the game was first announced. “Racing modders will be able to tweak, tune, and transform their experience however they like.”

Project Motor Racing is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 25. For more details, check out the trailer that was released back in April.
