Developer Straight4 Studios and publisher GIANTS Software have released a new trailer for upcoming racing sim Project Motor Racing. The trailer, released during Gamescom, focuses on some of the vehicles that will be available in the game, with the pack being led by a line-up of Porsche cars. Check out the trailer below.

Project Motor Racing will feature a variety of cars under Porsche’s umbrella, including the 2023 Porsche 963, the 1970 917K, and even legendary classics like the 1992 911 GT3 R, and the 911 GT1-98 and 962C. Along with these, Aston Martin cars will also be included in the game, including the 2025 Valkyrie Hypercar, and the AMR Vantage GT3, as well as Ford’s 2024 Mustang GT4.

The racing sim will also feature two new eras of the sport – GT1 and Group C. While the former will feature high-stakes races with exotic supercars from the 1990s, the latter will instead focus on the prototyping for endurance races. This brings up the number of racing classes that will be available in Project Motor Racing up to 9, spanning half a century of the sport. More racing classes are also confirmed to be in the works.

The latest trailer for Project Motor Racing also confirms that its roster of race tracks will include legendary tracks like the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and Bathurst’s Mount Panorama. All in all, the title is slated to have 28 different race track layouts across 18 different locations from all over the world.

Project Motor Racing will make use of its own proprietary True2Track technology that allows for realistic depictions of the various race tracks, as well as dynamic weather systems that can effect racing lines thanks to realistic drying and drainage behaviour to deal with things like rain. The game will also feature a synchronised 24-hour day/night cycle that mirrors the real-world.

The racing title had its release date confirmed all the way back in June, with design director Austin Ogonoski mentioning that capturing the authenticity of driving with realistic racing physics was one of the most important things for the studio.

“We wanted to capture the harsh reality of pro motorsport: Budgets. Repairs. Sponsors. Failed overtakes that don’t just wreck your car but your whole season,” said Ogonoski. “Your career in Project Motor Racing is motorsport with consequences.”

The title is also confirmed to feature mod support, and will use the official GIANTS Editor so that players can create and share their own content for the game. Mods are also confirmed to work across all available platforms, with the studio itself taking responsibility to ensure compatibility.

Project Motor Racing taps into the same powerhouse modding ecosystem as Farming Simulator,” said CSO and head of publishing at GIANTS Software Boris Stefan when the game was first announced. “Racing modders will be able to tweak, tune, and transform their experience however they like.”

Project Motor Racing is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 25. For more details, check out the trailer that was released back in April.
