The Collector and her feline companion look like a very interesting duo of playable characters, as does the world they’re operating in.

In a spellbinding (and we mean that literally) new look at 1666: Amsterdam, developer Panace Digital has given us a new peek into the lore that drives Noa Brooklyn’s quest to bring balance to the world of Zaindaris as a Collector, her feline friend at her side making that mission a tad more achievable.

However, the Union, as the duo is called, could face stiff opposition from The Originals (not the ones from the TV show but close enough), beings with the power to bestow and take away abilities from chosen members of the Zaindaris tribe. We already know their influence in the game’s world is immense, but we’re curious to learn how Noa’s goals clash with theirs in what’s shaping up to be a showdown carrying plenty of risks for both sides and other stakeholders in the conflict.

We’re keeping a close eye on this one, and not just because it lets you transform into a cat like Professor McGonagall when she’s a tad bored. Of course, we’ll be right here telling you all about it as we learn more. The gameplay feature below should tide you over in the meantime. Or you could check out the free playable prologue on Steam or the Epic Games Store on PC if you haven’t already.
