Sony has released the monthly download charts for PSN for the month of July, and to what I will imagine is literally no one’s surprise, Grand Theft Auto 5 has topped proceedings again. The newly relaunched No Man’s Sky makes an appearance, but apart from that, this whole chart is basically a bunch of old games- which makes sense, because not a whole lot was going on on the PS4 last month.

To me, what’s curious is that God of War seems to have dropped off from these charts- it’s not in the top 10 at all. An aberration? Or is this the game nearing the end of the otherwise monstrous legs it has exhibited? Perhaps with the upcoming addition of a New Game + mode, though, things might turn up again.

On the free to play front, Fortnite holds its own against H1Z1, while on the PS Vita, Persona 4 Golden rightfully reclaims the crown. Given that Persona 4 Golden is one of the best games ever made (and in many ways, it might actually be better than the already excellent Persona 5), it’s good that it continues to get love from Vita owners (all eleven of them).
