At long last, the much anticipated New Game Plus mode for Sony Santa Monica’s latest masterpiece God of War, which was discussed before the game even launched, and officially confirmed at E3 this year, will be coming later this month. Sony announced this morning that the New Game Plus mode for God of War will be available in just two weeks, on August 20.

The New Game Plus mode does much of what you’d expect- it carries over your previous armours, enchantments, talismans, resources, and abilities, lets you select a difficulty you are comfortable with, introduces a new Rarity Level for loot and gear, adds new customization options, and finally, adds the ability to skip cutscenes (thank goodness!). Skipping cutscenes will also be available in the normal mode as long as you finish the game at least once, Sony has confirmed. It should come in handy to those who hope to speedrun the game, at any rate.

God of War is available now exclusively on PS4.
