New Game Plus Confirmed for God of War

Barlog promised, and Barlog delivered.

In between one of the intermissions between Sony’s Big Four experiences at their E3 show, Sony Worldwide Studios confirmed that New Game Plus- long requested for by the fans of Sony Santa Monica’s newest adventure game- will be coming to God of War at last. Cory Barlog has been talking about this for a while, noting that this is something that he personally wants, but the game sadly launched without it.

Now, that changes- New Game Plus will be coming to God of War in a future update, which means players can carry over their progress into a new game, and face harder enemies. We don’t know what carries over into the New Game Plus, but it should be at least your level and health pool (and correspondingly, those for the enemy).

God of War is out now exclusively on the PlayStation 4- if you haven’t played one of the system’s best games already, now would be a great time to do so.
