Following its announcement way back in 2017, Sony has confirmed that Patapon 2 Remastered will release on January 30th for PS4. Retailing for $14.99, the musical 2D platformer can run at 4K resolution on PS4 Pro. Check out the latest trailer below and try not to lose it at the sounds of “Pata pata pata”.

Remastered in gorgeous HD visuals, Patapon 2 Remastered is about a tribe of Patapons who march through the world, battling all kinds of opposing forces. Matching beats allows the player to move and attack the tribe, leading to an interesting mix of rhythm and combat. As you progress, you’ll upgrade Patapons and even evolve them in different ways.

Along with featuring a Patapon Hero, more Patapons and extra Commands and Miracles over the first game, Patapon 2 features seven different mini-games that can offer different bonuses. Though the remaster was originally slated to release in 2018, it’s better late than never. Stay tuned for more details when Patapon 2 Remastered becomes available.

Players need to select the Jack -o- Lantern Boss Battle of Sorcerer Ordeal and use the Snows and Hourglass. This way players will be able to inflict the freeze attack. Do it five times in order to get your hands on this trophy.

Light-footed Sorcerer:

Killed archfiend in single-player mode with 1 Offering to unlock this trophy. The video below will help you achieve this trophy. The player needs to use the Golem offering during the slime boss battle of Several Years Later.

Spinner of Legends:

The player needs to get the  rank of Legendary Sorcerer fifty times in the game in order to unlock this trophy.

Sorrow of Solitude:

The player needs to tease Librom in three ways to receive this trophy. Just use your touch screen to get this done.

From Cover to Cover:

Open up all pages of Librom to get hold of this trophy. The video below will help you unlock this trophy.

Pure and Straight:

You need to start a pact with six identical offerings. The video below will explain how you can unlock this trophy.

General FAQ (via Reddit):

Q. I know that LE and SE come from saving and sacrificing enemies respectively, and I know that the chances to get + and ++ increase if the soul is berserk or divine or what have you. For bosses, how does that work? If I fight a harder Cerberus do I have a better chance of getting + or ++ or does it not matter?

A. Lower level bosses die earlier, but the really early ones for many have no chance of getting + and ++ essences.

Q. How do the special dark costumes work? Is that only after maxing level?

A.  Each costume has a white, black, and gold color scheme. White is unlocked by Saving 100 archfiends wearing that one outfit, and Black is unlocked by Sacrificing 100. Gold is unlocked after you save 200 Archfiends while wearing the white color scheme and Sacrificing 200 while wearing black.
