Vince Zampella will be exploring mobile development with Nuclear Division.

After the recent success of Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella has started up a new mobile studio called Nuclear Division with WMS’s Larry Pacey. Zampella believes that a new studio is better suited to developing mobile titles than Respawn and while there are no details on upcoming games, you can expect the first game in the coming years.

Zampella will be serving as more of an adviser and still function as CEO of Respawn Entertainment. Both studios will be located in San Fernando, Los Angeles and currently employ 12 staff members.

Speaking to Venture Beat, Zampella stated that, “If you look at where we came from, developing games with small teams, this is the way to get back to that. You can get back to the core of what matters to you and the values of what makes a game great.”

As for Titanfall, it will be receiving its first DLC in May with Expedition. What are your thoughts on Zampella starting a mobile studio? Let us know in the comments.

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is barely two weeks old for many of us but is apparently already wearing thin for most gamers. The developer recently introduced some changes in the game’s first update but it’s already well known that additional game modes and maps are in the works.

Co-founder and CEO of Respawn Vince Zampella gave some indication of the DLC’s status on Twitter, stating that, “DLC is in the works, not quite done yet though. Don’t think we’ve announced a date yet.” Hopefully by next month, there will be some new news on the same.

As for the new game modes, you won’t have to worry about Respawn pulling a quick one and charging you for the same. “Modes we release will be free to all, not part of DLC,” said Zampella on Twitter.

Titanfall is yet to release on Xbox 360 and will be arriving on April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe.

As according to co-founder Vince Zampella.

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall has been a critical and commercial success thus far, but there are still clamourings for higher player caps and other changes. Another query that has surfaced regards other game modes. The current game has six modes – Attrition, Hardpoint Domination, Last Titan Standing, Pilot Hunter and Capture the Flag along with a variety playlist – but will Respawn be adding new modes in the coming months?

According to co-founder and CEO Vince Zampella on Twitter, that seems to be the case. When we’ll be seeing these modes is up for debate, but they could most likely be included in the free content that Respawn has in mind. Meanwhile, the upcoming additional maps could be included in the Season Pass DLC. We’ll find out more in the coming months.

What are your thoughts on Titanfall thus far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. The Xbox 360 version is still to release on April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe.

In fact cautions them against server issues due to prelaunch preparations.

As is the case with most high profile games, Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall might get leaked and players might immediately think to hop online and get a head start on their brethren. With other games like Halo or Call of Duty, this usually results in said players being banned but Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella has clarified on Twitter that this won’t happen with Titanfall.

“About playing early: We won’t stop or ban legit copies. It is prelaunch, so there may be interruptions in service as we prep servers.”

So keep in mind that you may not get the best performance possible. Then again, if you’re playing the game ahead of its official launch and not being banned, what’s the point of complaining?

Titanfall releases on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe for the Xbox One and PC. The Xbox 360 version will launch on March 25th/28th respectively. Stay tuned for our official review of the game.

Vince Zampella would give it to pre-ordering consumers first if he could though.

Respawn Entertainment co-founder and CEO Vince Zampella has clarified on Twitter that the upcoming beta for TitanFall on the Xbox One and PC will not require pre-ordering either game.

“You will not need to have the game preordered to get in the beta. I’d give it to them first for supporting us if it were possible though.”

This follows the initial leaks that suggested you would need to pre-order the game from retailers like GameStop in order to get in on the beta. While Zampella revealed that the beta would be taking place in February, it’s only just now been confirmed that you don’t need to pre-order.

Regardless, given the hype and anticipation for TitanFall, it only makes sense to get your copy as soon as possible if you’re into multiplayer gaming. It will be releasing on March 11th in North America and March 14th in the UK for Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360. As of now, there are no plans for an Xbox 360 version beta.

Xbox 360 beta unconfirmed.

Respawn Entertainment’s CEO and co-founder Vince Zampella has revealed the super-secret announcement planned for the upcoming TitanFall. Tweeting out the same, Zampella stated that a beta will be incoming for the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.

“#supersecret announcement time. I’m sure no one has been able to guess from the leaks. PC and XboxOne Beta! Details in the coming days.” As of now, there’s no news of the Xbox 360 beta, with that version revealed to be under development by Bluepoint Games. That isn’t to say a beta won’t come later, but the focus currently seems to be on the Xbox One and PC versions.

Earlier, it was observed that those who preorder TitanFall at retail chains like GameStop would be eligible for the beta that was to take part on February 14th to 19th. Will that still be the case or will it arrive later? Stay tuned for more details.

TitanFall releases on March 11th in North America and March 14th in the UK.

Respawn Entertainment has been in the news lately for revealing that Titanfall will be exclusive to Xbox in its lifetime but that other games in the series will head to other consoles. Now, co-founder Vince Zampella is discussed issues related to Titanfall using the Xbox’s Cloud computing service, Azure. A fan recently tweeted Zampella about how statements were made about Titanfall being possible only on Xbox One because of the Cloud but that it was also on Xbox 360 and PC.

Zampella clarified that those platforms will use the Cloud as well and it will be Microsoft’s Azure service.

Titanfall will be using the Cloud to provide better AI, CPU processing power, dedicated servers and much more. Will it live up to expectations, especially with concerns that EA is rushing the game out? We’ll find out when it releases on March 11th 2014 in North America and March 14th 2014 in Europe. What are your thoughts on Titanfall using the Cloud on Xbox 360 and PC as well as Xbox One?
