Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella has finally broken the studio’s silence on their stance regarding Titanfall for the PlayStation 4. Zampella clarified on Twitter that the Xbox exclusivity for Titanfall is not meant for the entire series, but just for the first game.

Considering that Respawn Entertainment has maintained its interest in the PlayStation 4 and not explicitly stated whether we’ll see Titanfall on the PlayStation 4 or not, this information comes as a bit of a relief. While the first game may be skipping Sony’s next-gen console, at the very least we can look forward to seeing the remaining games in the series arrive for PS4.

However, the success of the first game could influence whether there is another a game in the series and whether demand is high enough to see it come to other consoles. Given the hype surrounding the game, it’ll be amazing if Titanfall isn’t a success when it launches on March 11th 2014 for Xbox 360, PC and Xbox One. Stay tuned though.
