The Blood of Dawnwalker Will Not Limit Exploration and Gameplay With Time Limit

While The Blood of Dawnwalker's narrative will feature some sort of 30-day time limit, the developer has confirmed that this won't affect gameplay.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

Developer Rebel Wolves has taken to social media platform X to talk about its upcoming RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. In the post, the studio introduces the character of protagonist , who had a rough childhood as he worked in the silver mine.

Coen dreamed of adventure, however, and wanted to travel away from his chores and obligations. While he was unable to do so in life, he eventually gained vampire powers, allowing him to free himself from the constraints in his life.

Along with detailing the character, the studio has also revealed that, while the 30 days and 30 nights time limit will be an important part of the game, the time limit will in no way affect the freedom a player might want to experience during their time with the game.

When asked whether the time limit would limit exploration, the studio replied by saying that it will not. “No, it doesn’t,” said the studio. “The game itself doesn’t have a hard time limit, and doesn’t require you to rush anything.”

While Rebel Wolves hasn’t elaborated on how the 30 days and 30 nights limit works exactly, speculation indicates that the time limit is more of a constraint for the purposes of the game’s narrative, rather than a hard limit on gameplay.

The Blood of Dawnwalker was officially announced earlier this week with a trailer. The game seems to be set in the 14th century, with the trailer showcasing the Carpathian Mountains. Vampires will be of quite a bit of importance in The Blood of Dawnwalker, especially since the protagonist himself will also be a vampire of some sort.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is being developed by a studio made up of veterans of the industry that have previously worked at CD Projekt RED. The game will be published by Bandai Namco, and will be coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
