We put together 15 of the worst games on the PS5 you should avoid.

The PS5 has been out for more than two years at this point, and while there has been no shortage of games that have touched remarkable heights – there have been plenty of disappointments to go along with them too. To that end, we present 15 of the worst PS5 games of all time.

Before starting with the list, it’s important to acknowledge that our opinion of these games is subjective – so while we may find them to be disappointing, you could have had a great time with them regardless. And if that’s the case, more power to you!

With that out of the way, let’s begin:

Godfall

When Counterplay Games showcased Godfall for the first time, it seemed like a great RPG with spectacular visuals and addictive combat. But when it was finally released, it turned out to be a disappointing experience that was rife with apparent flaws all around. The game is plagued with repetitive gameplay and uninteresting loot mechanics – all of which result in an experience that’s not worth sinking your teeth into.

Rustler

Jutsu Games tried to mix medieval elements with the chaotic top-down action of the original Grand Theft Auto games with Rustler, and while that combination certainly sounds enchanting – the end result is anything but. Rustler suffers from all kinds of issues ranging from poor game design to bland missions to technical issues and so much more. There are some cool ideas here, but they crumble under the weight of the shoddy moment-to-moment gameplay which makes the entire package a big disappointment.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition aims to bring the experience of the PS2 era GTA games to a modern gaming landscape, and it could have been so much better if the developers put a little bit of effort towards it all. What fans got was an underwhelming package filled to the brim with bugs, glitches, and improvements that felt more like downgrades from the original experience. It’s easily one of the biggest disappointments of recent memory, and Rockstar’s conscious decision to keep vital information hidden from the public up until launch also made the whole situation so much worse.

In Nightmare

Maximum Games’ In Nightmare tries to instill the same feelings of distress and constant tension as Little Nightmares, but it fails to achieve that design goal by a significant margin. And that can largely be attributed to poor puzzle design that hinges on being frustrating throughout the entire experience, and a narrative that doesn’t have much in terms of interesting plot revelations or twists or really anything doesn’t help the game’s case either.

Balan Wonderworld

While post-release reports have shed more light on the disastrous development cycle that Balan Wonderworld had to endure, that doesn’t really soften the blow that fans received when they booted up the game for the first time. Balan Wonderworld had some interesting concepts going for it, but they were surrounded by a poor technical framework and half-baked mechanics that made playing through the game an exercise in pain.

eFootball 2022

Konami’s attempt at rebranding its Pro Evolution Soccer series has started off on a pretty bad note with eFootball 2022. This free-to-play soccer sim is plagued with game-breaking bugs at launch, and while post-launch patches have alleviated some of those issues – other prominent criticisms such as the lack of varied game modes and general polish within gameplay mechanics haunt the game’s fates to this date.

LEGO Brawls

LEGO Brawls fared as a mostly fine fighting game when it was released on mobile platforms as a part of a subscription service, but in a console landscape where there are so many better options available – some even free to play – it ends up being one of the worst ones of the bunch. LEGO Brawls has a super thin gameplay loop that goes along with an uninteresting progression system and little variety in game modes that makes it suitable only for infants and younger audiences.

MX vs ATV Legends

THQ Nordic’s MX vs ATV Legends could have had a strong run if it had spent some more time in the making, but as it stands now – it’s a game that has some neat ideas at its epicenter, but they get muddled up in a buffet of technical and game design problems that make the whole ordeal a lot more frustrating than it needs to be.

Werewolf – The Apocalypse Earthblood

Developer Cyanide’s latest Werewolf – The Apocalypse Earthblood is a game that should by all means have been a smash hit. Hell, it’s a game where you can turn into a werewolf and wreak havoc upon your adversaries with your bare hands. But in practice, Werewolf – The Apocalypse is plagued with an overwhelming amount of game design problems ranging from poor combat design to sloppy narrative and dull visuals makes this adventure a pure disappointment on so many levels.

Zorro The Chronicles

It’s not everyday that we get linear adventure games that mix stealth and action elements together, so when Zorro The Chronicles was released – it certainly piqued the interest of many fans. But that feeling of ecstasy was rather short-lived, as Zorro The Chronicles constantly bombards the player with one frustration after another. And even as a game meant for younger audiences, Zorro The Chronicles fails on more fronts than it succeeds.

Dragon Ball The Breakers

At first, Dragon Ball The Breakers seemed like a fun concept with its asymmetric multiplayer gameplay putting a fresh twist on the standard video game adaptation of this classic anime. But when the game was released, fans realized how shallow the game actually is. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is riddled with prominent issues ranging from a finicky camera system, ill-designed gameplay mechanics, and plenty of microtransactions to go along with it.

The Last Oricru

Soulslike games are dime a dozen these days, and while some are excellent takes on this newfound genre – others are anything but. As you might have already guessed, The Last Oricru finds itself in the latter category, mostly thanks to uninteresting writing and a wonky combat system. Story choices in The Last Oricru do hold interesting ramifications for the plot, but that doesn’t really amount to much in the face of other prominent problems with the moment-to-moment experience.

Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance

A co-op action RPG set against the backdrop of one of the most recognizable tabletop games of all time should be a surefire hit, right? Well, countless fans thought so – but Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance laid waste on those expectations with a bland product that’s rife with issues both technical and otherwise. The visuals are impressive to some degree, but taken as a whole – it’s a disappointing product that doesn’t stand up to the sheer potential of its source material.

Matchpoint Tennis Championship

Torus Games’ Matchpoint Tennis Championships might not be the worst game on the list, but it’s not a game that’s going to hold your attention for more than a couple of hours at best. The actual gameplay mechanics are fine if simplistic enough for the most part, but everything surrounding that is underwhelming – and that includes a barebones career mode with little personality and bland visual presentation among other issues.

Tennis World Tour 2

While Tennis World Tour 2 is a game that delves into the more technical aspects of the sport, Big Ant Studios’ latest finds itself on the receiving end of most of the criticisms that were addressed with Matchpoint Tennis Championships a while before. Tennis World Tour 2 could have been something great, but for that to happen – it really needed some more time in the oven.

There have been some great games this year and some average ones. But there have also been some major disasters - check out 15 of them here.

Despite numerous big titles being delayed, it’s actually incredible how many good games have released this year. Of course, there have been plenty of terrible releases as well, ranging from the annoying to the downright broken. Let’s take a look at the 15 worst games of the year so far.

Balan Wonderworld

Sonic the Hedgehog programmer Yuji Naka made his return to the spotlight with Balan Wonderworld – a janky 3D platformer with an incomprehensible story, puzzling design decisions, shoddy visuals and the list goes on. Who are the main characters? Who is Balan? Why are the protagonists trying to save people who’s hearts are filled with darkness or something? Why is there an elaborate dance number at the end of every boss fight? Balan Wonderworld inspires many questions and answers almost none of them including the all-important “When does this get fun?”

The classic franchise fails to translate to an action game.

After some impressive showcases at E3, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood seemed to have some real momentum behind it. The Werewolf: The Apocalypse series comes from the larger World of Darkness franchise, which includes other notable names like Vampire: The Masquerade, and Cyanide Studio’s Earthblood is one of the entire franchise’s first forays into action video games. Its E3 demos impressed because they highlighted a seemingly impressive gameplay loop in which you can switch between human and werewolf at will to fight your enemies. As a full package, though, Earthblood offers very little more than these showcases highlighted. What was intriguing for a short demo becomes stale and repetitive over the course of an 8-hour experience, and the surrounding presentation lets down the few good ideas lying in the gameplay. For everything that makes Werewolf: The Apocalypse an interesting idea, both in its tabletop RPGs and its pre-release content, there are too many other problems in Earthblood to make it an essential addition to the World of Darkness franchise.

At its core, Earthblood stays true to its source material. You take control of Cahal, who is part of a clan of Garou, beings who can switch between the default human, the quieter and quicker wolf, and the larger and stronger werewolf, which is only available when Cahal gives into his Incredible Hulk-style rage. The overarching villain is the energy megacorporation Endron, which has some cartoonishly evil schemes that Cahal and the entire clan want to stop by infiltrating their facilities and taking down their operations.

"For everything that makes Werewolf: The Apocalypse an interesting idea, both in its tabletop RPGs and its pre-release content, there are too many other problems in Earthblood to make it an essential addition to the World of Darkness franchise."

In gameplay, the possibility to switch back and forth between forms allows for different theoretical paths through every encounter. Each encounter is effectively split into individual rooms of enemies, and most can be completed with either stealth or action. Stealth is a relatively industry-standard affair, though adding the wolf element makes it mildly more interesting. You try to pick off enemies one-by-one until the room is clear, and certain guard patterns often make it evident as to which order is most efficient to avoid being spotted. Unfortunately, there are very few options to assist with your stealth, apart from hiding behind barriers and using the wolf to fit into some very conveniently placed ventilation ducts. You can only take down one enemy at a time; there aren’t any distraction techniques; and there are commonly pairs of guards looking in opposite directions to make staying hidden almost impossible. You have a crossbow with severely limited ammo, but even using this can unexpectedly alert nearby enemies anyway.

If you are ultimately spotted, which you will inevitably be in the vast majority of encounters, you automatically turn into your werewolf form, where you are much more powerful and are thrust into the center of combat. Taking control of the werewolf is easily the game’s most impressive and enjoyable feature, simply because of how powerful it makes you feel. You can take down the average security guard in a single blow, and you can traverse entire rooms in an instant. Naturally, the game won’t let you fight only those weak guards, so there are some big robots and guards with shields that make you do a little more work to bring them down, including some late-game enemies that feel almost unfairly spongey for their size. What gives you a leg up in combat is your Rage, a meter that builds up as you take down enemies and allows you to perform stronger special attacks and heal yourself. You also build up a Frenzy meter, which, when filled, lets you go into a much more powerful, almost invincible state that effectively serves as a get out of jail free card. Even in boss fights, filling the Frenzy meter was more often than not a death sentence for the boss, regardless of how much health they had left.

These moments of pure strength make up Earthblood’s most satisfying gameplay moments, but the gameplay is otherwise diluted, making these moments fleeting. While the werewolf combat is great in spurts and has its strengths, it becomes altogether too repetitive to stand up on its own. For a game with this werewolf combat, it would make sense that it wants you to get into action more than stealth and would make the stealth more difficult, but it’s puzzling why it feels like it punishes you for being spotted. When you get into combat, you’re almost inevitably going to face multiple waves of enemies through reinforcements, and, while you can technically disable some reinforcements by locking their doors, it never felt like there were ever any fewer, even if I had disabled every door.

"While the werewolf combat is great in spurts and has its strengths, it becomes altogether too repetitive to stand up on its own."

Moreover, there are only a handful of distinct enemy types outside of bosses, and this game falls into the trap of making the game more difficult simply by adding more enemies, which is both frustrating and overwhelming, especially when you’re multiple waves deep in an encounter. This all creates a combat environment that feels punishing without much reward or diversity. By the end, I wasn’t having much fun taking down enemies because it felt like the game was trying to work against me with too many waves of enemies or an unending sequence of encounters with no respite. Even boss battles, which are some of the more interesting combat encounters, felt more like brief interludes between the repetitive combat than special combat encounters that tested my skills.

There are a few other gameplay interludes that break up the combat sections. The game is semi-open world, as you can explore the environments on your own time or return to your base, where you can talk to other members of your clan. But I never felt a reason to do this. The environments are drab and lifeless outside of the main mission areas, and there’s little to find. The collectibles you can find around the world add little to either the gameplay or the story, and mission markers almost always lead you directly down the linear path you need to take to progress the story.

Even the few side missions are generally contained as minor offshoots of linear sequences, and they’re very insubstantial, as are the dialogue trees, which have no real purpose here. Some dialogue choices allow you to give into rage and fight the person you’re talking to, but again, this choice feels unimportant and has few repercussions. If you do move around the environments, you’ll likely be using Lupus, Cahal’s wolf form, which is a more enjoyable way to move around because he can run faster and jump higher, and when you’re not in combat, there’s overall little reason to ever switch away from Lupus. The game forces you back to Cahal’s human form when he talks or interacts with something, but this feels more restrictive than necessary, especially when he continues talking when you want to switch back to Lupus for stealth.

"The game forces you back to Cahal’s human form when he talks or interacts with something, but this feels more restrictive than necessary, especially when he continues talking when you want to switch back to Lupus for stealth."

The story feels half-baked as well. The game takes place five years after Cahal leaves his clan of Garou for failing to save his wife from death. Cahal returns to the clan to help them in their plot to tear down Endron, the reasons for which are unusually both unclear and overbearing. At first, it seems to be assumed that Endron is bad because they are an energy megacorporation, without much explanation as to why. You are tasked with entering the facilities and killing hundreds of workers, some of which are civilian employees, which they justify at one point by saying that anyone who works for Endron is complicit with their schemes and deserves to die.

Later on, there is an almost cartoonishly evil plot by Endron to utilize a new biofuel, the eponymous Earthblood, in their subjects, but the motivations for doing so are never really explained. It feels like Endron is just there as a binary evil who you’re expected to hate without much explanation or justification, but for a game that thematically explores controlling your rage and anger, it’s not particularly apt to unilaterally hate a company without any grey area. As the game progresses, too, there is a sharp turn in the story that comes almost out of nowhere and feels like an entirely new game. Cahal’s motivations here are admittedly more direct, but much of it still goes unexplained and the ending doesn’t do much to wrap up many of the game’s questions.

The game’s writing doesn’t help the story’s issues either. Dialogue is very hit-or-miss, and the voice performances are often emotionally misguided. Characters rarely react to things in a natural way, which isn’t helped by the character models and animations, which can feel janky and stiff, especially in dialogue. It’s not the most graphically compelling game, though there are some intriguing places in each environment, and even in combat enemies animate in distractingly unnatural ways. As a silver lining, while it doesn’t push the next-generation hardware to its limits, it had few bugs and ran smoothly for my entire playthrough, even with a large number of enemies on screen at once.

"Later on, there is an almost cartoonishly evil plot by Endron to utilize a new biofuel, the eponymous Earthblood, in their subjects, but the motivations for doing so are never really explained."

What makes werewolves an interesting gameplay concept is their ability to change in an instant to the most powerful being in the room. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood tries to expand on that gameplay concept but never really ascends above its floor. The gameplay itself becomes stale over the course of just a few hours, and the presentation and story make the motivations and themes both more confusing and less intriguing. Apart from intermittent moments of sheer power, Earthblood never realizes its potential in almost any area, and what seems like a great idea on paper turns into an underrealized mess.

Next month will kick things off with a little of nature’s revenge in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, a game based on the tabletop RPG series about a group of werewolves battling the pollution of big tech. The game will include the ability to transform into three different types, (which you can see through here), and will be coming to a variety of different platforms. That includes PC as well, of course, and we now know what rig you’ll need to play it, and thankfully, you won’t need a beast of a machine to do so.

On the minimum settings, the game will need an Intel Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-8370 with 4GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon HD 7790. Recommended only bumps that up to an Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with 8GB of RAM with Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290. Unfortunately, as of now, it does not list the amount of space you’ll need. Keep in mind the PC version is also coming exclusively to the Epic Games Store when it does launch.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will release February 4th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. We sat down for an interview with game’s director, where they revealed the main narrative path would be roughly 12 hours, and that full interview will be live soon, so stay tuned.

Cyanide’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is one of the major releases in February and for good reason. Playing as an eco-terrorist werewolf, one must take down the Pentex corporation while dealing with their fellow brethren. To accomplish this, three different forms can be utilized – check out the launch trailer below courtesy of IGN to see them in action.

The three forms are human, Lupus (regular wolf) and Crinos (werewolf), each with their advantages. Human form is necessary to interact with people, hack computers and attack from range. Lupus is great for stealth and is far more agile. Crinos, which has Agile and Heavy stances, is your main brawling mode and can either provide fast attacks or tankiness.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is out on February 4th and will be available for PS4, PS5, PC (via the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Its main critical path offers 12 hours of gameplay though some side content may be in place to extend that. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming week.

Cyanide is going to branch out into uncharted waters with its next game, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, which, with its action-heavy combat, is looking like a pretty different prospect from what the developer has typically worked on in the past. If the game’s got your curiosity piqued, you can also look forward to a fairly meaty adventure.

Speaking to GamingBolt in a recent interview, game director Julien Desourteaux commented on how long players can expect the upcoming RPG to be. Desourteaux mentioned that though the play time will vary depending on how players are tackling certain situations, the average play time should be about a dozen hours- if you’re only sticking to the main story, that is.

“It is quite hard to tell because it will really depend on how players like to take their time and analyze the situations they will encounter or explore the levels,” he said. “But roughly for a straight experience only focusing on the main objectives, it will last around 12 hours.”

12 hours isn’t a massive amount of time, but it’s still pretty solid, especially considering the fact that that only accounts for the main story, and side content will obviously add to that length. Besides, given the deluge of massive multi-dozen hour games out there, a relatively more concise experience sounds pretty good.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is out on February 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Our full interview with Desourteaux will be live soon, so stay tuned for that.

Here's everything you should know about Cyanide's upcoming action RPG.

The World of Darkness universe has seen a number of video game releases in the last couple of years, with plenty more still to come, and one of the biggest among these upcoming games is almost upon us. French developer Cyanide has delivered some pretty solid experiences with the likes of Styx and Call of Cthulhu in the past, but with the upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, they’re branching out with a more action-oriented RPG, and there’s plenty about it that’s got our curiosity piqued. Here, we’ll be speaking about some key details from the game that you should know about ahead of its launch on February 4.

SETTING

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is set in the World of Darkness series. The world is populated by a number of supernatural beings, including the likes of vampires and werewolves, and this game, as its name suggests, focuses on the latter. Unlike vampires, who tend to integrate themselves in human societies, werewolves are recluses and live on the fringes among nature and are divided into tribes. Werewolves fight against forces that pollute and corrupt the planet, and Earthblood is set in the American Northwest.

STORY

In Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, players take on the role of a werewolf named Cahal. After accidentally killing a member of his tribe, Cahal leaves his tribe behind and travels to the American Northwest. If you have any familiarity with the Werewolf: The Apocalypse pen and paper games, you’ll know that going up against corrupt corporations is a big part of their stories, and that’s going to be the case here as well, with Cahal locking horn with the powerful Pentex corporation, whose actions have been damaging and polluting the environment.

HUB LOCATIONS

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is not going to be an open world game, but will instead have several large hub locations that players will be able to explore and traverse. Locations will be spread across the American Northwest, with each location having several collectibles to track down and side quests and optional activities to track. Players will also be travelling to Penumbra, a realm between the physical and spirit worlds, which will have its own unique challenges and side quests.

LINEAR PROGRESSION

Cyanide are developing Earthblood is a pretty linear experience, at least as far as story progression is concerned. Many of the locations you visit will, of course, have plenty of room for exploration and taking on optional activities, but once you’ve progressed past a hub location, you will not be able to return. With no backtracking included, the game will have a rather constant forward momentum.

MULTIPLE ENDINGS

Though Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is based on a pen and paper RPG, as we’ve mentioned earlier, the developers have envisioned it as a very directed and focused experience. That said, it doesn’t mean there won’t be any room for player choice whatsoever. Moments where players’ choices can affect the story and how it progresses won’t be too frequent, but based on the few that will be in the game, players will be able to get one of two endings.

SHAPESHIFTING

Where Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is doing some really interesting things is with its gameplay and combat. As its very premise suggests, shapeshifting is going to play an important role in the game from traversal to combat to other areas of the experience, with Cahal able to transform into three different forms. And what are these forms exactly? Let’s go over those.

HOMID FORM

The first form is, of course, Cahal’s human form. Called the “Homid” form, this is your main, default form, and will be what you’ll need to be able to have social interactions with other characters and NPCs. In his human form, Cahal can also hack computers and tamper with electronics, and also has a crossbow that he can use to silently dispatch enemies from a distance or, with the right upgrades, disable electronic systems. With abilities such as silent enemies and being able to jump on top of enemies, Homid form will be your go-to form for stealth gameplay.

LUPUS FORM

The second form in the game is “Lupus” form, in which Cahal will change into a wolf. As you’d expect, in this form, you will have unmatched speed and agility. Whether you’re trying to get away from enemies, or want to zip from cover to cover to avoid detection, or are trying to get into areas that are inaccessible to the Homid form, such as small vents and ducts, the Wolf form’s agility will come in very handy in specific situations.

CRINOS FORM

Finally, there’s the Crinos form, and the one that’s perhaps the most interesting- the werewolf form, or “Crinos” form. This is the one that will be the most useful in melee hand-to-hand combat situations. Aggressive, powerful, and large, when you’re in werewolf form, Earthblood will turn into an action-focused brawler.

STANCES

What’s interesting about the Crinos form is that in combat, you will also have to keep your stance in mind. There are two different stances, each more beneficial in different situations. Agile Stance will allow you to move faster, dodge better, and hit enemies with quicker attacks. Meanwhile, Heavy Stance will see you become more resilient to damage and being able to attack with more hard-hitting moves, but losing much of your agility.

FRENZY

Given the fact that you’re playing as a werewolf here, it makes sense that you will also have a deadly adrenaline-fueled trick up your sleeve. Called Frenzy, this is something that will keep filling up as you engage enemies in combar. Once it’s full, players will be able to unleash their fury. When Frenzied, you’ll be able to let loose with special attacks and quick and powerful moves- though it will come at a cost, since you won’t be able to use any other special moves or heal until your Frenzy meter is drained completely.

RAGE

One key mechanic in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood that players will always have to keep an eye on is the Rage meter. Cahal will locked in an internal struggle to keep the beast inside of him chained and tamed. From making wrong choices in conversations to coming into contact with specific items in the game’s world, several things can increase Cahal’s Rage meter. The higher the meter goes, the more conversation and combat options become available to you- but there’s an interesting risk-reward mechanic involved. If your Rage mechanic maxes out, you automatically turn into a werewolf and lose control over yourself, and the beast inside of you doesn’t subside until you’ve killed every NPC in the vicinity, whether that’s friend or foe- that, of course, can have disastrous consequences in several ways. That said, you will also be able to lower your Rage in multiplayer ways- including, interestingly enough, simply channeling some of your inner anger into punching an NPC in the face during a conversation.

PC REQUIREMENTS

When Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood launches soon, it will be available on both current and last gen consoles. But what if you’re planning on playing it on PC? The requirements are actually pretty anonymous. For minimum requirements, you’ll need either an Intel Core i5-3470 or an AMD FX-8370, either a GeForce GTX 650 or a Radeon HD 7790, and 4 GB RAM. Meanwhile, recommended settings will require either Intel Core i7-8700 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, either a GeForce GTX 780 or a Radeon R9 290, and 8 GB RAM.

Cyanide’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood has received a new extensive gameplay trailer which details the various forms that protagonist Cahal can use. Along with stealth, we also get a look at combat and the different abilities available. Check it out below.

There are three main forms for Cahal to use. Human is useful for long-range attacks with a crossbow, hacking computers and interacting socially. Lupus is the wolf form which provides more agility and allows for traversing through vents and quickly sneaking around. Then there’s Crinos or werewolf form which is your main means of dealing damage in combat.

Crinos has two Stances – Agile and Heavy – with the former emphasizing quick movement and attacking and the latter focusing more breaking enemies’ guard and damage resistance. Rage builds up, even when stealthily eliminating foes, so you have manage that before eventually fighting. During combat, Rage can be used for different special moves, like rushing towards a foe and tackling them.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is out on February 4th, 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Next year will see the first large scale video game adaptation of Werewolf: The Apocalypse with Earthblood. The series is part of the World of Darkness tabletop series, the same series that Vampire: The Masquerade is part of, and sees you as part of a group that take on environmental destruction to prevent the apocalypse. You also just so happen to be a werewolf. The game got its first gameplay trailer earlier in the year, but now, we get back to setting the mood with another cinematic trailer.

We had a cinematic trailer to highlight the titular creatures in the game, and for Gamescom we got another. You can see it below as provided by IGN. It sees your main protagonist going to an endron facility and coming face to face to a robotic suit being driven by someone. It ends with wolf vs machine, and you can probably guess how it ends.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse Earthblood is set to launch February 4th 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

Things are heating up in July in the gaming world as now more companies are announcing their digital events. Of those, one is a relative newcomer, at least to events of these kind, with Nacon (formerly known as Bigben Interactive). The company will soon hold a new digital conference they are dubbing the Nacon Connect, and they are bringing quite a few titles to the show.

Via their official Twitter, Nacon have announced their schedule for their first ever Connect. It looks like they have nine things on the bracket, with 7 games. Three of these have been announced previously. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, which will get a gameplay reveal, Rogue Lords, which will get a story trailer, and then Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, a new RPG in the series planned for 2021 we haven’t seen yet. There will also be four unannounced games, one of which we know is the next game from Spiders, and then titles from Abrakam Studio and Kylotonn, which is most likely the next Test Drive game. There may be a few other surprises there as well.

The Nacon Connect will go live July 7th at 9 am PT. You can see the link and a rough schedule for the show’s stream below.
