The video in question dates back to 2 years, which shows Griezmann and teammate Ousmane Dembele making racist comments about the Asian technical staff of the hotel. Griezmann and Dembele both took to Twitter recently to apologize for any comments that may have hurt the sentiments of his Asian friends.

An official statement by Konami reads, “Konami Digital Entertainment believes, as is the philosophy of sports, that discrimination of any kind is unacceptable. We had announced Griezmann as our Yu-Gi-Oh! content ambassador, however in light of recent events we have decided to cancel the contract. With regard to our eFootball PES franchise, we will be requesting FC Barcelona, as a club partner, explain the details of this case and any future action.”

Rumors seem to indicate that Konami’s PES 2022 will be going the free-to-play route, as developments and revelations continue to happen leading up to the game’s release sometime later this year.

Konami has announced its financial results for the quarter of the fiscal year which ended on September 30^th. Overall there has been a significant increase in revenue and profit over the year. Video games continue to be the most profitable source of income for the company.

Konami has stated that they have “high hopes for the game industry to offer new experiences through game content in various ways.” In light of this, the company is hopeful that people will spend money to “enrich daily life” and video games can offer such new experiences that people desire.

Mobile games such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Duel Links continue to sell well on mobile devices. The latest iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer has also been doing well and has received favorable reviews.

As ways of reaching audiences have diversified, Konami believes in making video game experiences unique to t capabilities of each platform. Konami will continue to work in the realm of eSports and with reference to card games ,will continue “aggressive promotions within the area of eSports.”

Konami also made a mention of upcoming games such as Metal Gear Survive which will be out in February, 2018 and ANUBIS ZONE OF THE ENDERS : Ｍ∀ＲＳ which is set to be released sometime in 2018.

Popular opinion would have you believe that Konami is exiting the games market, and wants nothing more to do with console or handheld game development anymore. Maybe so, but at least right now, they aren’t acting on those rumors- as a matter of fact, they just went ahead and announced three new Yu-Gi-Oh! games. And while one of those is for smartphones, sure, the other two are for consoles and handhelds.

The iOS and Android Yu-Gi-Oh! game will launch in Spring; the Nintendo 3DS title is set to launch in summer, and the console games will follow after that. The full tentative schedule as of right now is:

• Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links – Mobile game (iOS/Android) – Spring 2016
• Yu-Gi-Oh! for Nintendo 3DS (working title) – Console game – Summer 2016
• Yu-Gi-Oh! Online Game (working title) – Console/PC game – Winter 2016

Hopefully the games are good, though Konami has usually done a good with these games, so I don’t think that that’s something that we need to worry about.
