Tekken 7 Confirmed For Xbox One, Coming in Early 2017

Will not be a PS4 exclusive after all.

As anyone with any sense would have been able to tell you, Tekken 7 is coming to Xbox One after all. Bandai Namco took the stage today during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and confirmed that the game will not be a PlayStation 4 exclusive after all, contrary to what many would have you believe. In fact, Namco also confirmed that Xbox Live Gold members would get a free copy of the Xbox 360 game Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Additionally, they also spent some time detailing the game’s story mode- for starters, playing up the fact that it will have a story mode, which is, you know, a bit of a change from other major fighting games of this generation, such as Capcom’s Street Fighter 5, which launched earlier this year. You can learn more about the story mode in the story trailer below.

Tekken 7 was also confirmed to be launching in early 2017. So far, it has been confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One- we’re just waiting on a PC release confirmation at this point. Maybe later, at the PC Gaming Show?
