Tekken 8 Receives Age Rating in South Korea

Bandai Namco has previously said the fighting title will be out before April 2024, but a specific release date has yet to be announced.

Recently at Evo, Bandai Namco showed off Tekken 8 once more, confirming two more characters for its ever-growind roster of fighters with Raven and newcomer Azucena. Excitement surrounding the game has continued to mount with each new showing, but when exactly can we expect it to launch? Though Bandai Namco has yet to announce a specific release date for the highly anticipated fighter, recent developments might be indicating that an announcement for the same might not be far away.

As spotted by Twisted VoxelTekken 8 was recently rated in South Korea by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea. Classification ratings for games generally tend to come in the later stages of development when launch is drawing closer, suggesting that a release date for Tekken 8 might not be too far away, and could be announced soon.

Bandai Namco has previously said that the game will be out by the end of the current fiscal year, which runs until March 31, 2024. The publisher will be bringing the game to Gamescom later this month, so we might learn more about its launch timing then.

Tekken 8 is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
