The Elder Scrolls Online Launching in April 2014 for PC, June 2014 for Xbox One and PS4

Enter the fight for the Ruby Throne this Spring/Summer.

Bethesda Softworks has finally announced the release date of The Elder Scrolls Online, developed by ZeniMax Online Studios. It turns out that we won’t be getting a simultaneous release across all platforms – the PC and Mac versions will be launching on April 4th 2014 while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch in June 2014.

A brand new gameplay trailer titled “War in Cyrodiil” and it showcases the PvP system which allows for hundreds of players to fight together and against each other, thus recreating all those epic medieval war scenes you’ve seen but have rarely been able to experience. All these factions will be fighting to claim the Ruby Throne in a prequel to the main canon.

As of now, the game is still slated to be subscriber-based, even when it releases for consoles. How will this work out? Bethesda has still to reveal the same, so stay tuned for further details in the coming days.
