The Last of Us: Remastered Requires 50 GB Installation Space

Leaked packaging indicates a hefty install size for the PS4 port.

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Remastered will be a visually enhanced port of the PlayStation 3 version and arriving on the PS4 later this month. The developer has detailed the numerous visual changes the game has seen which include a 1080p resolution and 60 FPS frame rate, along with including all previously released DLC till now. It will come with a price though – you’ll need roughly 50 GB of installation space for the game.

This was revealed on leaked packaging for the game which indicated the same. It isn’t the most shocking figure though – the beginning of the PS4 generation pretty much indicated that games would require more installation space going forward. This is one reason Sony is looking into pre-loading allowing players to download all of a game’s data on to their console before it launches. Sadly, this feature will only be going live when Destiny is out.

The Last of Us: Remastered releases on July 29th. Will you be playing it? Let us know in the comments.
