Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 is out today for PS4 and sees Class VII, new and old, uniting to stop Erebonia from being plunged into war. Players can expect patch 1.01 to be available from day one with patch 1.02 coming in the “near future.” Details have yet to be revealed for the patch.
In the meantime, NISA is investigating an issue with the game’s pre-load on PS4. Many consumers who digitally pre-ordered are unable to access the game, though the publisher assures that it will be available at launch. The issue seems to persist but those who purchase the game when it’s available should reportedly have no problems.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 will also be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC in Spring 2021. In Japan, Falcom has already released the next follow-up, The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, for PS4 and will provide a free update for PS5 compatibility. It’s still a long way off from being localized for the West though so stay tuned.
