The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Takes the Top Spot in Weekly UK Retail Charts

It sold nearly as much as the original game's Wii launch back in 2011. Meanwhile, F1 2021 debuts in second place.

The latest weekly charts for physical software sales in the UK are in (via GamesIndustry), and couple of new games are on top of the charts for the week. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has topped the chart, becoming the fourth Zelda game to date to do so, after Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and the Link’s Awakening remake. Skyward Sword HD has sold 1.3% more than 2019’s Link’s Awakening, and 9% less than the original Skyward Sword for the Wii. Though if digital sales were to be announted for, it’s likely that the HD remaster will have sold for than the original.

Meanwhile, another new game in the top 10 is F1 2021which debuts in second place, though sales are down significantly compared to what F1 2020 managed at launch last year- specifically, they’re 30% down. The PS4 and Xbox versions of the game each account for 34% of the sales, while the PS5 version makes up 32%.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which returned to the top of the charts last week, has fallen down to tenth place after an 80% drop in sales.
