The Outlast Trials Developer Teasing “Important Broadcast” for The Game Awards

Red Barrels' co-op survival horror could receive new details on its next update or potentially a release window for its early access exit.

The Game Awards is right around the corner, airing on December 7th at 4:30 PM PT. Several titles like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Guilty Gear Strive and more will appear, and you can add Red Barrels’ The Outlast Trials to the list. The developer tweeted about an “important broadcast” at the show, with a hotel room and TV featuring the Murkoff Corporation’s logo.

Murkoff is the antagonist in The Outlast Trials, Red Barrels’ co-op survival horror title, which sees players teaming together to survive various terrifying clinical trials. Its last update added new level, Weekly Programs, new items, a new mini-game for the Sleep Room, a new level cap and more. Perhaps its announcement will tease the next update, if not a release window for 1.0.

Stay tuned for more details when The Game Awards air. The Outlast Trials is available for PC via Steam Early Access and sold over 500,000 copies in its first week. Check out our review of the launch version to learn more.
