Upcoming horror game The Outlast Trials has kicked off its closed beta. Set to take place over Halloween, the closed beta will be available until November 1.
The closed beta for The Outlast Trials includes the opening level—which also acts as the game’s tutorial—and one trial—Police Station with prime asset Leland Coyle. The beta also features the in-game lobby—the Sleep Room—as well as a taste of character customisation and room customisation.
“We’re excited to welcome players to Murkoff’s Sinyala Facility and The Outlast Trials this Halloween,” said Red Barrels co-founder Philippe Morin. “The Closed Beta is a very early taste of what players can expect in the full featured game next year, and we’re looking forward to feedback from our test subjects to help us bring this whole new Outlast experience over the finish line.”
The Outlast Trials is a co-op survival horror game set during the Cold War era. The game puts players in the shoes of volunteers at the Murkoff Corporation. Unfortunately, as shady corporation in games will do, the Murkoff Corporation is running horrifying experiments that players have to survive and escape from.
The Outlast Trials doesn’t yet have a release date, and is currently slated for release on PC.
