Fans of The Talos Principle have been looking forward to a sequel for a long time, and nearly a decade on from its launch, its sequel was finally formally unveiled last month at the recent PlayStation Showcase. That, in turn, has been followed up by a gameplay trailer at publisher Devolver Digital’s own showcase.
The Talos Principle 2 is set in a world thousands of users into the future, where humanity is extinct but its culture lives on in a city of robots. The puzzle title’s newest gameplay trailer showcases that gorgeous setting, along with gameplay footage showcasing glimpses of some of the new puzzles, mechanics, and tools you can look forward to in the sequel. The Talos Principle 2 is due out later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A specific release date for the title hasn’t yet been announced.
