Thumper Heading to Xbox One on August 18th

The rhythm violence title finally arrives on Microsoft's console.

Drool’s Thumper is finally coming to the Xbox One after having launched for PS4, PC and PlayStation VR in October 2016. Xbox One players can get their hands on the rhythm violence title come August 18th.

Also available for Steam VR, Oculus Rift and Nintendo Switch, Thumper sees players controlling a scarab-like vehicle as it rushes down psychedelic highways littered with traps, large demonic heads as bosses and lighted panels that must be hit in rhythm.

New mechanics are introduced throughout each new level as players have to dodge side to side, jump over and slam down on panels, sharply turn and go for extended sections without making any mistakes. That last part is where much of the horror comes from but that could just be the dark music setting the mood.

If you haven’t picked it up, Thumper is currently available for $20 on PS4 and PC. It’s one of the best indie and rhythm games of all time, though the difficulty is nothing to scoff at.
