Respawn Entertainment isn’t done with Titanfall 2, its first person shooter that focuses on parkour and giant mechs battling as much as actual shooting. The developer took to Twitter and teased something for August 22nd. An animated GIF was included which seemed to showcase a new Pilot Execution involving the shield.
However, the tweet also seems to indicate that information on the next big content update will be arriving soon. Titanfall 2 has received a bevy of free updates since launch including revamped versions of classic Titanfall maps like Relic, Angel City, War Games and so on; new maps for Live Fire, the 6 vs. 6 Elimination-based mode; and Frontier Defense, a four player co-op PvE Horde mode. This isn’t including the new Titan Monarch, new weapons, camos, skins and so on.
Though Titanfall 2 didn’t sell as well as Respawn predicted, Respawn is still looking to make more Titanfall. A new mobile title called Titanfall: Assault has recently released, bringing a layer of strategy to the franchise. Respawn is also busy working on a third person action title in the Star Wars universe.
