EA Access, and its cousin on PC, Origin Access, is generally considered to be a great service- for a paltry subscription fee, you end up getting access to a whole lot of EA games, and you also get the chance to play these EA games ahead of their release for up to 10 hours. It’s a great service, and it’s basically been a good way for players to be able to try out upcoming anticipated EA games properly well before they release.
However, it seems like Respawn’s upcoming Titanfall 2 will not be a part of either of these services. They have confirmed to GameReactor that the game will not be featured on EA and Origin Access, meaning no playing the game early, no discounts, no playing it for free. This doesn’t mean that the game will not be added to the vault later, but it does mean that you can’t play it early, anyway.
This is not the only time that Respawn have limited access to the game ahead of its launch- they also refused to make the multiplayer tests for the game playable on PC. One has to wonder if they have something to hide. Titanfall 2 will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
