Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition PS4 Sales Double That of Xbox One Version

Conversely, the Xbox 360 version outsells the PS3 version.

A case of preference for 60 frames per second? Regardless, the latest UKIE sales charts, courtesy of Gfk Chart Track, have revealed that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the PS4 has sold more than twice as many units as the Xbox One version within its first week.

While 69 percent of the units were sold on PlayStation 4, Xbox One unit sales are about 31 percent. Interestingly, the Xbox 360 version sold 50 percent of total units versus 42 percent of total sales for the PS3. Should one just chalk that up to the install base, what with the PlayStation 4 having more than a 1.5 million unit lead over the Xbox One worldwide? There’s also the matter of the PS4 version being reviewed better on the PS4.

What are your thoughts in the matter? Is it a matter of install base and reviews, or have the issues regarding the visuals really made an impact? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
