Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Runs at 30 FPS

Next-gen Lara apparently shies away from more frames.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was confirmed to be running at 1080p almost from the very moment it was announced, but the frame rate remained a mystery until now. In an interview with Eurogamer, executive producer Scott Amos confirmed that the Definitive Edition, which releases exclusively for PS4 and Xbox One, will be running at 30 frames per second.

Considering that the Definitive Edition is not heading to PC, it seems the only place you’ll be able to see Lara Croft at 60 FPS and 1080p resolution is by playing the first game on Ultra High settings on PC. This doesn’t mean that the Definitive Edition is handicapped in the visual department – Crystal Dynamics has been working hard to give Lara a more refined look, laying the groundwork for what a next-gen Croft will look like.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition releases for PS4 and Xbox One on January 28th. Will you be picking it up? Let us know below.
