A new trailer has been released for Supergonk’s Trailblazers, the futuristic racer that’s being hyped up as “F-Zero meets Splatoon“, and it focuses on the co-op action that can be expected. Check it out below.
Trailblazers is about racing and covering the road with paint, providing a nice little speed boost during races. The co-op mode gives you a partner that will paint the road for you – once he/she/it runs out of paint, you slingshot past and continue the process. Three teams of two players each will battle in this mode and it’s a fun take on the drafting mechanics seen in other racers.
Along with partner races and 3v3, there are also solo sprints to undertake and a full-fledged campaign with a story. Trailblazers also includes local and online split-screen support with cross-platform play from PC to either PS4 or Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It releases on May 8th so stay tuned for more information on whether it lives up to its unorthodox potential.
