Tropico 5 Announced for PC and Xbox 360, Features Competitive and Co-op Multiplayer

Kalypso Media has announced that El Presidente will continue his despotic rule into 2014, as it announced Tropico 5 would be releasing next year for PC, Xbox 360, Mac OS X and Linux. The publisher has released a new teaser trailer for the same, which you can check out above.

Tropico 5 will have plenty of new features, notably with the Eras, as players can play through from the 19th century till the 21st, each with their own goals and challenges. There’s also the inclusion of the Dynasty, which includes El Presidente’s family members being available to appoint to different leadership roles.

You’ll also be able to research and build new buildings, of which there will be 100 new varieties, and technologies, transform old buildings, revamp the economy by way of the new trade system and trade fleet, and much more. Tropico 5 will also feature competitive and co-op multiplayer for up to four players to either work together and build the best banana republic ever or just outright kill each other. Look forward to it in the new year.
