Turok: Origins Launches This Fall, New Trailer Highlights Massive Threats

Saber Interactive adds to its 2026 co-op release schedule with a Switch 2 version of Turok's revival, also coming to other platforms.

The rumors were true – Saber Interactive’s Turok: Origins is indeed launching this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. But that’s not all, as a new trailer dropped, confirming a Nintendo Switch 2 version. Check it out below – there’s some new gameplay showcasing some enormous environments and the monstrosities that dwell within.

Touted as a revival of the classic dinosaur-hunting shooter franchise, Turok: Origins offers both first-person and third-person perspectives alongside solo and co-op for up to three players. Players traverse the Lost Lands to take out the series’ signature dinosaurs and various alien threats utilizing hatchets, sniper rifles, shotguns, assault rifles, and the classic bow and arrow.

The big gameplay hook here is harnessing DNA from slain enemies to unlock new abilities and upgrade your weapons. And while this may seem like another excuse for a co-op excursion from Saber, especially after the success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, there is a story to experience, one with “twists and turns.”

Turok: Origins launches this Fall, so you can likely expect more gameplay, details, and perhaps even a free limited-time demo before launch (like with Saber’s other co-op shooter, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando). Until then, head here to learn more about how it’s being treated as a “respectful” revival.
